Wow just think he married his wife at 15 yrs of age and he was 20 yrs old . You know something by today's standards the crooked corrupt so called justice system would try to label him a sex offender
I did not know this place existed. Now I really want to see it. Joe Jackson is my favorite all-time player; his life and career just have fascinated me for years. Thank you for posting this for all of Joe's fans.
Great Video, i am a baseball fan and have been a fan of Joe's since childhood, when my grandfather (born 1887) would tell me stories of his days in the miner leagues of the old Cincinnati Reds, he never made it out of the bush leagues, but he loved baseball until the end of his life in 1980
Wish I would have seen this tour sooner!!!! I'm a huge fan of all the old time players, (Cobb,Mathewson,Young, etc) Thanks for the tour, and the book is excellent!!!!!
Thank you for creating this video! I've lived nearly all my life in Greenville just a mile or so from Joe's grave, which I've visited a few times. However, I've never seen the museum. You're video has hooked me and I'll be visiting soon!
Great job on the tour. You didnt rush and I was able to see quite abit while listening to you explain what is was we were seeing. Very natural. Well Done!
@philbildner - 2 questions for you. What is the deal with the book you held up? Also where did they get the giant photos of Joe? I would love to get a pic that big!
I wrote that book, Shoeless Joe & Black Betsy. You can get it on line on Amazon or anywhere. As for the pics in the museum, I can't speak for those, except that they're pretty awesome.
Thanks for posting this. I am not a White Sox fan but thought it was really great. If I am ever in the area of this museum I will make sure to check it out.
Felicidades! Y Gracias! muchachos, a very well descriptive piece...
