What if find is all the black metal band members have no lyrical depth at all, they are a buch of attention seeking pimple eaters that act like they are evil demonds to justify there small penises and there bulling problems as children. i live 45 minutes away from Tampa,FL which is where alot of pioneering death metal bands where spawned.sooooo,im gonna go with death metal on this one.

I think the Norwegian sound is more melodic and dreamy, while the American sound is more raw and angry, not as well produced and not meant to be. The Norway bands seem more "epic" while the American bands seem to have more of a homemade underground kind of edge. I could be wrong though, I don't really know anything about this kind of music, just an outside observer.

both styles are a evolution from Thrash Metal. even, the early black and death from the 80's wasent much diferent between each other. ppl used to confuse them.

If you prefer the darker and atmospheric evolution better pick Black.

If you prefer the heavier and the more brutal way, better pick Death.
