Warm gas ist lighter than cold. So the warm gas tries to go as fast as possible upwards. There is less time to give the energie into the air around. In nearly every heatexchanger you will find counterflow.
The next reason is the airflow while the car is on the road. Around the upper part will be more "wind".
Shure....your cooler is nice and big. But i allways try to reach the max with the material i have. In your case it´s the same effort to let the gas flow in the "right" way. The result will be a little bit mor power because of the cooler gas. Intercooler for turbo-motors are made to do the same. Less temperatur = more oxygen per m³ = more power
Next week i start with my second gasifier. Look at my channel in roundabout 1 / 2 weeks. Your comments are welcome. :-))
I use the original Airfilter from VW Transporter type 4. It is cheap and big. Then i made a housing for it my self.
The engine in the car is a 2,0 liter petrol VW engine, with 4 cylinders

I think the direction in the (green) cooler is wrong. It should be "hot in" on the upper end / "cold out" on the lower end.

Your english in write, is much bettere then my German in writing.
i can see your point, but don´t worry my cooler is way to big. so it dosn´t matter what way the gas flows. But thanks for the tip my "Gas-Freund"

Very clean setup you have there. Do you have many back fires? That is what scares me around the gasifiers. :)
