  • Looks like the one that i grew

  • @catney59 Shhhh, I borrowed yours to make this video ! LOL

  • Wish i would have known! I had like 3 and 4lbers this year..well they were big i know that..lol

  • @GospelTruth37059 Sounds like I need to be watching more of your gardening videos. ;-)

  • I would thank you so much for the seeds. Do you have a email address for me to send my address to ? And thank you again for the seeds !!!!!

  • Where can I get seeds from tomatoes like that.. ?

  • @Teddybearcop48 As best I could figure, this was a pink or red brandywine. They are fairly common and available at most seed suppliers. If you only need a few, I have some that I won't be using. They produce some big tomatoes, but the quantity is kinda low.

  • Those lucious curves... the round bottom... that saucy color... perfection!

  • @soupoftomato6 Are you describing the tomato or a person ? LOL

  • @mhpgardener The tomato, but I wouldn't mind seeing someone like that;)

  • @mhpgardener u have to research a sense of humour

  • @The5starSTUNNNA As Shrek said about killing the dragon, "it's on my to-do list, ok?" Is that better? :-) Seriously though, I watched it again. It was my 6th video, just getting started. Hey, we all have to start somewhere.

  • Congratulations! Say, do you notice better texture in your homegrowns, ie not pithy?

  • @anyusmoon1 Most definitely. Homegrown, right off the vine... just perfect. What they have in the store is a poor excuse for a tomato.

  • I'm trying for a big one this summer. I trying a variety called Big Zac and hopefully it lives up to it's name. I love that greenhouse!

  • @SleestaksRule Whoa... I looked that one up. Its got a good rep for large maters...and disease resistant too. Gonna put on my list of seeds to try !

  • Fantastic ! I'm trying to grow some giant tomatoest this year in the UK.

How many tomatoes do you leave to grow on the plant to bet them real big.

    Thanks,Dan.

  • @allotmentdiary Dan, that big mater was an accident, not planned. If you look at the earlier videos, you'll see it was not a very big plant, not much fruit. I do have 2 Delicious growing right now for the sole purpose of a huge mater. My idea is to remove all but one mater from each cluster. Kinda like having one pumpkin or melon per vine, to grow record size fruit. We'll see how it goes. Film at 11 !

  • If its not to personal,WHAT VARIETY LOL

One big mater no matter what family it hales from.Congrates,eb

  • @TheEDDIETHEBUCK haha, not too personal ! I mentioned this in the GH videos, it was from seed labeled Marglobe. Its definitely NOT a marglobe. From the shape of the mater, and the growth habits of the plant, its a Brandywine. Potato leaf, upright straight stems, low production but nice maters...I'm 95% sure its some type of Brandywine. I did save seeds and have 4 plants growing in one of my gardens to see if it can be duplicated.

  • Thats one big tomato ! great job .

  • @selfreliantboy Yes sir, thank you...she made a few really nice mater sandwiches too !

  • It was transplanted around Nov. 18, give or take a day. So it was about 11 weeks old. Thats not too bad considering it was thru the dead of winter, where the days were so short.

  • How long have you been growing that tomato ?
