  • Yeah George Bush was really for small government, creating the Department of Homeland Stupidity which Barack has continued.

  • This scholar and genius should have her own show on FOX. Love the shades!

  • Markos is the de facto head of the modern Democratic party (Obamacrats). That is why they lost so badly in the last election cycle. Please keep taking Markos. Please go on Fox. Every day. We don't even have to explain out values, principles, and ideas (despite your distortion of them). All America has to do is hear you speak.

  • Delusional. Thats the word you are looking for. And it goes back to the earliest critics of democracy in Ancient Athens (critics of democracy, by the way, in practice - and in decline - not necessarily of democracy per se). When rhetoric is what matters, what drives politics, then the "sophists" will prevail - making the lesser argument APPEAR the better and getting the masses to thereby believe in it. Or we can skip to the modern era of snake-oil salesmen. Or their current day equivalent.

  • Delusional.

  • Delusional.

  • The only failed 'values' are those thoroughly discredited and outdated Marxist, socialist, communist idealogy. You SUCK, "Markos The Marxist."

  • @wreddon I agree. These Hispanics are notorious for supporting failed, oppressive Marxist ideology.

  • this guy is the reason why us libertarians get so pissed off with rank and file democrats. by tarring all conservatives with the same brush he has illustrated that a lot of what the progressive movement stands for is just negative scaremongering..and how can values fail?what a stupid thing to say.believing in greater individual freedom and smaller govt is the driving force behind my belief system, not the 6000yr history stuff.and what is wrong with asking questions about global warming? sheesh..

  • This guy looks like he was picked on a lot as a child.

  • ha ha ha! What a dip shit.

  • Wow, this guy sees everything in terms of left-right. I feel sorry for people like him, he's going to spend his entire life fighting battles that don't exist.

  • Polls are not news. It's a tad early to read the entrails for 2010 yet.

I agree that Obama's vigilant enough to ward off another 9/11. His pushing of diplomacy around the world will continue to make a difference. He might have to bear the brunt of the depression that the economic policies of the past decade have wrought. That'll be tough.

  • I agree! DailyKos is one of the most valuable web sites out there today! We need an antidote to the paranoid, right-wing garbage that's blowing around everywhere. Kos has it!

  • @kchauncey DailyKos is about as 'valuable' and as 'truthful' as Pravda was to the Russian people living under the Judeo-Communist tyranny in the former Soviet Union and satellite countries!

  • i feel sorry for the guy married to this guy...

  • You're mistaken. Markos does support marriage rights for everyone, true enough, but he's married to a woman.

  • typical failed conservative values of denigration, putdowns, demeaning, - wreddon is only serving to make the point that conservative values have failed.

  • @EdwinRutsch Conservatives have not failed. Your looney side has failed.

  • The way that the Right has reacted to "failed" government (because of their own policies) is to contract out to private business for services that should not be for-profit (health care, prisons, nursing homes, etc). There is a motive for purposely tanking in public services - their campaigns are paid for by contractors who want to take over services that we provided thru the public sector for less money before. The delusion is believing they can save on taxes and have better services.

  • Conservatives do not believe government does not work... we believe the federal government should be reduced and states should have more say in decisions.

  • didn't conservative bobby jindal handle the hurricane when the previous democrat governor wouldn't call in the national guard when she was advised to do so? do you really think bush put the FEMA chief in so that it fails? are you sure you have the mental health to claim who is delusional and who isn't? come on, the day you understand that local groupings of people, the family being first and foremost, are better apdapted to handling their own lives than any big government the better.

  • the reality is personal choice and private property markos. give people their money back so that the family unit can make their own choices, that's the bottom line. your reality seems to be teachers that work 9 months out of the year and putting tests through the scantron wanting more of my money for providing a lackluster education. you're the one whose trapt inside your head, not living in reality.

  • You tell them, Markos! Just like Dodos, conservatives might as well throw themselves into the dustbin of history without outside help. LOL!
