You shouldnt use the concealer brush to put it directly onto your acne. The infection will stay in your concealer, and you're putting that back on your skin next time you use it..

@cuzzle456 yes, actually i use a stick concealer usually and those work even better, but they both have a thicker consistency (which may look cakey) so apply a liuid foundation before with a sponge.

so i found out that by using the applicator it spreads bacteria, if you use brushes and the applicator watc them after every use. the best thing to do is use a qtip when applying the conceler

i have very dry skin and I cant wear foundation because I will break out. So I only use face cream or lotion on my face then apply face powder... but when i have blemishes its a hassle, i use concealer sometimes, is there anything else I can do or do u recommend any foundations that wont make my face break out?

I was watching a few videos on how to cover blemishes and one thing I learned is that its better to use a brush. I use my finger and I noticed, it become cakey..

I salute you for video taping yourself with your imperfections. We all know having pimple blemishes its hard. Your a tough woman. :)

@UchihaPainter hey! i know im kindof late but ask your dermatologist about ziana and finacea! amazing combo worked for me! the ziana is for acne, and the finacea medicene is very good its for people with rosacea but it also works with acne scars and marks. It makes the red marks fade over time. it has definetly improved my skin. just ask your doc about it next time and give ti a try. Goodluck!

for the concealer, wouldnt it b better to use a flat brush that isnt made from real hairs?when u use fluffy blush for concealer, u kinda take away some of the covarage..

and when u put powder try to pat the powder on the areas u previously covered w concealer, cuz the way u do it, u sweep some of the covarage while putting powder too.

I'm very fair skinned and after a pimple I have red or purple marks that can take months to go away -- but it's hyperpigmentation, not scars. So what's the difference?

Hey! Great vid, but quick tip: the thing with doe foot applicators for concealer is that when you use it directly on a blemish and then re-introduce it into the container of concealer,all the bacteria from the pimple gets into the concealer as well as on the applicator. This means that the next time you use it, that bacteria ends up right back on the face and PRESTO! More pimples! (Personal experience). Try swiping it on your hand and dotting it in on with a finger before brushing it in.

if it covers the redness its fine to use the spot treatment. and yes if you want coverage you should use concealer because the liquid makeup is basically just a tinted sheer liquid for your face and it will show all your flaws. try switching to a powder. it stays on longer. it looks more natural. it doesnt clog your pores. and it covers so much better

I have to say, I tried the MAC select moisture cover too (same shade) and wasn't thrilled w/ the coverage- I didn't think it covered any more than a foundation, really. I'll try your method, but I think it may be a return :(
