  • Wow fail on the stock rear bumper with exhaust cut out.

  • @OldboySaint seriously you know nothing ... the bre 240z was a 70's race car the bumpers have been removed ...yes the lower rear is cut out for the factory single exhaust ... this runs dual open pipes

anyone who's into these would love to have a drive in this car

  • @patfurlan What is your point in saying I don't know *anything*? No shit that's dual exhaust. If you're going to go through all the trouble of making a "replica" why not fill the factory bumper exhaust tip notch?!

  • @OldboySaint perhaps BRE never bothered .... I'm really sorry you are so angry

  • @patfurlan I'm not mad bro, are you mad bro?

  • nothing like an L series :)

  • bad ass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111

  • I was there at the show when this video was taken, it sounds even more mean in person.

  • Sweet car but I would have liked to of seen more of the hot chick at 7 seconds!!

  • too bad we can't hear it under load... very nice though!

  • I used to have one of those...wish I still had it today.

  • Angry 6

  • give me those tail lights!

  • wow... nice sound!

  • @NlGGGA its way better than anything u will ever drive in your life your pos honds civic would probably shit its self if it saw that 240

  • @1STROUDEL1 Whats up with the Honda hate?

  • Mmm how all datsuns should sound!! 8-)

  • love it

  • damn i love the old school datsuns. and this one sounds amazing!

  • nice car dude

    i own a 81 280zx datsun...

but my car is not that good..lol

  • old school !!!yeah

  • I'm sure they'll change it just for you....ask for them to be bent up like a truck with the flaps while you're at it...

  • lol wow

  • why do that? it wouldnt be a true replica if they bent the pipes apart.

  • @sonorin1 how are they "to close together"? Its a race car not a show car, you won't be worrying about how the exhaust looks when your driving around a turn at 90 mph.

  • 24okay, yes that is correct, it is a nice paint job on a street car

  • Great sound!

  • sweet!!!!!!

  • Music!!

  • Is this the one that's for sale for $19k in CA?

  • No, it is not.

  • Oh ok, then maybe that paint job is just something they do as tribute, like how people do that rally look on a 6th gen celica. I didn't know that until I seen other Z cars with a similar look.

  • There are cars that are done as "tribute" vehicles, and there are those that are licensed tribute vehicles from BRE. This is a licensed replica or tribute car. The one for sale just had a paint job that looked similar to my car.

This car, my car has a BRE race motor in it and is built to replace the BRE #46 240Z that was destroyed in Phoenix in 1974.

  • so the guy selling that car couldn't have that motor in his either? He just had to have the paint job and that's it?

  • yes this is nice, i am from belgium and the Z's are very rare here in europe. So i am thinking about traveling to california to get me one

  • There are few in UK for sale hmm

  • The header was fabricated by Gerry Mason who owns the #3 BRE 240Z it is a copy of the original race header.

So my car is now infamous!?!?!?!

  • I remember this car!! I seen this bad boy in my Sport Compact Car magazine. Sounds good as hell 2 : D

  • mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

  • very nice sounding 240, i love these classic datsuns.

  • @NissanTy

yes cant argue with the machins at all :)

  • From what I can tell from the video, that seems to be none other the infamous replica of "Ron Carter". Nissan Sport magazine did an article on this car. John Morton and Pete Brock, as in Mr. BRE, assisted with the painstaking reproduction. The exhaust is twin 2.25" straight pipe into the yellow megaphones per the orig. race car. Nothing was mentioned about the header though.

  • Yeah, louder than no exhaust. Sounds horribly sexy. =)

  • BRE original spec echaust DUH

  • Thanks! good video Jonas!! this is from the MSA show this last year.

  • ya, mr. RC has a nice car there :)

  • It is a BRE header to dual straight pipes and two megaphones. No mufflers.

  • Its a twin setup; front 3 cyl thru one side, back 3 cyl thru the other side! Works well for me!

  • Sounds like straight pipes.

  • I would say that there is no exhaust :)

  • cool

  • what exhaust setup is he using?
