I think it would be kinda good, cause people, including me could begin to play, there is no problem to buy the expansions but paying every month is kinda expensive for me because i pay for XBOX LIVE and working out on the gym.

It would be bad as well because servers could be filled with spammers, but otherwise server would be more populates and mabye more fun to play for others.

The pvp is destroyed. The game now requires more gold farming than a normal job. Casuals have no business playing this game period. Arena is fail but it's end game pvp even with unbalanced / overpowered classes. The lore is DEAD. The game belongs to 12 year olds now... and if this loser... who's claim to fame before blizzard was U/O guild leader who somehow weaseled his way into blizzard after activision ran off the orig. devs is no big surprise. The franchise is DEAD. 12 mil is a LIE.

Blizzard claims they now have 12 million subscribers. 12 million. 12! Who believes that claim? WoW launched Nov 4th, 2004 so for 6 years now this game has gained millions of subscribers and "maintained" these subscribers? No drop in player base? There are about 236 US servers. Let's say 6 million accounts are on these servers. That would be about 25,000 accounts per server. And that's 12 million active accounts they're talking about. Think about it. No MMO is that good.

@cloudform your forgeting that with each expansion they gain a ton more subscribers, so no they havnt maintained all of the subscribers, but for every person they lost per expansion they have gaind atleast 2 more. 12 Million is a believable number, many players have more than 1 account, they love dual boxing elemental shammans, I have even seen a person dualboxing 24 accounts an a single AV.

At the end of the day its each to their own. In my personal opinion the game graphics are absolutely terrible, even when it first came out. It cries out gimmicky blocky and over colored characters and Diablo is more 4 me. I guess certain stories will capture certain viewers and it will keep their attention and playing co-op in a vast world is always enticing for gamers. Odemol your statement is completely opinion based, they are charging you because they can not because the game is 'that good'.

If it's free to play, what motivation do the game makers have to update the game vs working on Aion, which who's community is paying to play that game and expect more.
