yes this is skilled flying, saying that would not have made better sense to have the teams in position prior to the heli touching down, sorta made the pilot work a lot more holding her in place. i work with heli's on OP's in N.Ireland for 13 years... that's how the brits do it.. this looked pretty cool tho

@37Rusty I think it was prudent to keep team in position where they were just in case a cross wind caused the tail rotor to touch ground and strike a team member. Once the Chinook was in place and stable, then the team moves in for extraction. That pilot, btw, is awesome in his ability to hold that beast steady like that!
