Missed that one. I used to race SCCA and was at a number of events with him at Sebring. I don't think I would have wanted to be there when he got run off the track and damaged his Ferrari. LOL

That was 23 years ago?? I met Alan and bruce just after Bruce joined with Alan after moving from Alaska. Bruce was a movie star looking young guy, and Alan a hyper driven motivator. I ended up racing cars with Alan and did some aircraft swapping with him Well, we'll still alive and kicking.

Do you remember going out to the Go-cart track with Alan and Bruce in Carrollton? After a good afternoon of racing, he and a buddy of his took their Ferraris out on the track. The guy in the blue Ferrari ran Alan off the track, and it cracked the front spoiler to pieces! That was a fun day!

Great video, My father-in-law grew up with the owner of Dago Red (Terry Bland) I've had dinner with Terry a couple of times in Reno, he's first class guy. I was bummed to hear that he just as of late sold the bird. As you watch this video "which is fantastic BTW" keep in mind that it's nothing like being there. If you can make it, it's well worth going to see the races for your self. Thanks for the Video Robbiegef.

ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL! Great vid. I was fortunate enough to be a hangar rat for Alan Preston and Bruce Lockwood in Addison, Texas in 1986 as a kid fresh out of high school. Having the opportunity to keep the hangar clean, and just be around that beautiful bird was just awesome! It's good to see her still hanging her tongue out and flying just as hard as she did twenty years ago. Great job Bruce!
