  • @YragQtip Idiot! That's all. Nothing else. LOL

  • @YragQtip Sewer environment? FUCK YOU! What do you know? From the soumds of it, not much. Look. If you want to believe in the myth of Global Warming and are in a hurry to give your hard earned money to YOUR government, go right ahead. Just don't try to force the rest of us into your ecological fantasyland. Al Gore thanks you for your contribution. Get your head out of your ass.

  • "TIME IS NEEDED FOR ANY CHANGE" India has, just recently, few decades back got its independence and people are realizing that caste system is bad for a democratic country and results are seen may be not 100%.If american people hate bush or Obama, time will surely come when next time people will vote a much capable person. But, this awareness is lacking in the current generation to come in US.if you compare it with india or china,Indians have and are getting the awareness and motivation needed

  • excellent work!

  • hard to believe what Clinton would say to get a couple of votes. it shows lack of integrity and understanding of the current immigration situation. working men and women should be represented by officials who won't take money for campaing from places that hurt working people. Rep. Tom Tancredo is one of few who are vocal about this issue.

In Britain they began control of Indian visas.

H1B visa should be available to all people from all countries. If 7 out 10 visas go Indians, that's unfair.

  • Oh, and BTW - if Indian workers are so smart, then where is the Indian OS?

No Adobe, Apple, or Microsoft in India. Why not? They've had ten years to beat us.

The reality is these people are all frauds. They are here to export our capital (which is the real reason our banks are failing).

  • indian industrialisation started in the last 30 years, since we got independence 60 years ago.

And i could go on and on about other problems like poverty etc. etc.

western industrialistation has been going on since the late 1800's.

  • India has a 5K year history, why were computer invented in Europe and American and not in India?

  • who the hell gave the number 'zero' yr basis in physics and math u fuck face?!

  • The Mayan native of Central America also had the concept of zero and they didn't invent computer automation either. The zero is a place holder and the Greeks mathematicians did fine without it. Babbage, Lovelace, Shannon, Turing and Von Neumann were all Europeans who invented computer automation. India and China just don't have history of innovation like Europe and America. I not saying that Indian hasnt contributed; it just hasnt contributed in the massive way the Europeans/Americans have.

  • If you just want me to agree with you :) i will. but ur not making shit sense to me atleast. :) read some history and u'll know where it all came from. btw...........I havent seen a 'zero' in the roman numerals. you perhaps since ur making all those claims :) Italy happens to be in Rome one of the oldest civilizations. :) I rest my case. I dont need to argue with you anymore. :)

  • and yes the thing that i agree with u entirely is that Indians have not been the 'most' innovative thanks to our constraints, point taken but try looking up who invented the concept of the first web-based e-mail :) yes im talking about 'hotmail'. When given an opportunity indians have done kind of fine. Not all but a hand full. And thats just not Indians but not every person is a Warren Buffet or Steve Jobs or Bill Gates anyways.

  • I wasn't aware Hotmail was a Fortune 500 company worth billions and employing millions. The lobbyists are saying the H1Bs from India and China are starting Fortune 500 companies which are not true. Hotmail was a web interface to existing email protocols/applications that have existed for years. Yes, give him credit for doing it first, but you cannot compare that with transistors, ICs, computers and etc that were NOT invented by H1Bs.

  • I dont know which direction ur really going in, my bottomline was the first web based e-mail was invented by an h1B bloke. His name: Sabeer Bhatia who sold hotmail to msft for not sure 250 million plus. Also please go into the history of Sun micro systems. A gentleman named Vinod Khosla. They all came here as students did their masters and started off.......on H1B......... :) and one day there was Sun Micro Systems. I rest my case.

  • btw...assuming you are probably a programmer of some sorts.......Im guessing you perhaps understand how important Java has been in the past 10 yrs. P.S. I am not a programmer so I am not going to even try to argue about something(java) I am not too good with.

  • Yes, I have done programming and Java as a platform independent programming language is very important. But, with the advent of cloud computing and SASS I'm not sure how valuable Java is anymore. It couldn't save Sun. What does this have to do with India; it was invented by white men in silicon valley.

  • well I am just wondering what would you be doing for the past 10 yrs plus if you didnt have java. sure there are newer things and there will be. thats is the way it should be anyways. You know why does it seem to me that you are from the KKK? :)

  • I'm not saying one biological race is better or worse than another. just pointing out that most of the innovations did not occurs in China or India.

  • Who Invented Micropossers chips? Wireless Technology? Surgery? Who was co-founder of Sun Microsystems? Who was mentor of Larry Page and Brin of Google who gave an idea to start thesis in Stanford? Do you know how many professors teach in Stanford? Doesnt Microsoft has its RND center in Indi? Why does google has its dev cener in India? Who invented RSS feeds?

  • Vinod Khosla was NOT an H1B and he was not a programmer, scientist or engineer. He was an account with KPCB. He never wrote a line of code, filed a patent or made any technological contribution to Sun or Google. Gates and his lobbyists claim that all H1Bs research scientists doing cutting edge R&D. So, tell me why Vinod Khosla is important in the H1B guest worker debate?

  • >> Do you know how many professors

    >> teach in Stanford?

If they are *teaching* then they arn't doing much innovation; to scared.

    >> Doesnt Microsoft has its RND

    >> center in Indi?

It has one in Shanghi also; cheap labor outposts. Actually, Apple had one in India too AND THEY CLOSED IT - proof that Jobs doesn't consider India all that innovative.

  • but we Indians do not consider anyone less and treat equally and so we are Indians. We do not believe in Invading others and occupying wealth of others or bombing a weak nation and proving developed by sucking its own people. Its a matter of few decades India will again rise to its old powers.

  • China is a brutal colonial power that does all of the things you mentioned. As I've pointed out they are second only to India in lack of innovation. So, being a colonial power seems irrelvant to the debate who why computers were invented in the US and England and NOT in China or India?

  • Its time and circumstances on any country that matter, zero was invented by aryabhatta in India, Americans used it to go to moon(as per they say) and build a computer. We will use Computer and build something else. You are ignorant is the only thing I can state you and the debate here I think should be between equal minds. you saying Vinod Khosla was not a programmer, scientist, engineer proves your dumbness. he is a IIT grad from India a Top most Engineering colleges in The world.

  • The Maya indigenous peoples of central American invented the zero too. So, why aren't 65K H1Bs coming from Guatamala each year?

  • Its not that Vinod is not a smart man or that he did not contribute. But, irregardless of his training, he was NOT a technological lead in the founding of Sun or Google. Now, Andy Bechtolsheim is different; he was essential to development of the Sun workstation and Solaris. He was foreign born; but he wasn't an H1B and was NOT from China or India. The point of H1B reform is to bring over more people like and and LESS usless unimaginative cheap labor form China or India!

  • @jadhavkapil If India is so great why are you here?

  • @wodiya I am here because its business, To sell something we have to travel and we are selling knowledge for which we toil from our age of 10 and we are Really good at it as per Current Time and History. If US can get this from somewhere else they should surely get it.

  • >> but we Indians do not consider

    >> anyone less and treat equally and so

    >> we are Indians.

Too bad Bill Gates and the tech lobby doesnt think the same way. They use H1B to drive down wages, age discrimination and for cheap labor. They don't treat the citizens of their country of birth very well at all. That's the problem.

  • Indians dont care who thinks what till we think we are right. So, it will be not too far when the world will be kindof paralyzed in front of Indian IT engineers or chinese products and they would not do a bit without them or always need them for anything. This will be rise of powers surely.

  • At that same speech to the IIT in Silicon Valley, GE CEO Gerry Immelt said: "If India wants globalization to work, it has to be more than shifting money from one place to another". In other words, Indian workers are incompetent and are just sending money home.

No wonder USA has lost so many jobs since '98.

  • No only are they NOT skilled, but Americans are TRAINING them. I know - I worked in Silicon Valley for 16 years. Most of the Indian workers brought in have no skills and fake resumes and fake degrees. India's NASSCOM paid a PR firm in 1998 to get this nonsense started. You can bet our politicians take $ from NASSCOM. This is blatant FOREIGN CONTROL people. Since when do foreign corporations have the AUTHORITY to influence our gov't?

    Deport them all now.

  • if what you say is true, outsourcing wouldn't be so rampant.

  • Lou and his dumb followers..

go take a hike stop twisting facts.

  • "We the People" need to stop our government from selling American jobs to foreign countries on behalf of Corporate America. "We the People" need to make our government put a hold on the H1B Program until all Americans are employed. "We the People" need to STAND UNITED to ensure our govenment doesn't cause us to become a 3rd world country. "We the People" need to stop our Government and Corporations, who hold a monopoly in the work force from selling AMERICA and its PEOPLE. WE THE PEOPLE

  • Hillary is gone and keeps messing up her future in politics. why would you waste a vote so precious on a divider like the clintons? because she is playing the victim role now? she is nothing but the biggest liar and panderer! for self power interest.

  • Bullshit, the media picks on Hillary so much more than Obama. Every small thing Hillary says they pick on... paforbo, you are full of shit... Obama's rise is precisely due to this factor, the media views him much more favorably...

  • She wants to give jobs to all foreigners and take jobs away from white working class americans---

  • much like lou dobbs Hillary Clinton is full of it

  • Lou Dobbs counts out the number of members of India Caucus as if giving a list of traitors! What a jerk!

  • When they're suppose to be supporting Americans and are supporting Indians, what would you call that?

Why do you think we're about to go into a depression? Could it possibly be the college graduates working at Home Depot.

  • Okay: Students from IIT ARE NOT CALL CENTRE WORKERS: in fact, lou dobbs would not make it through the IIT SCREENING TEST that picks some top 20,000 students. America would be LUCKY to have these people!

  • American corps first made it to the number one software spot with American workers.

How do you think this happened?

If you saw how non Indian workers are treated in India you'd see the hypocrisies involved.

  • I'm a student majoring in Computer Information systems. I don't like her position

  • hillary is a butt

  • This immigrant bashing just seems to be pure hatred and nothing more. We have people that have legitimately worked hard for their education and are coming here to be a part of our economy.

Most Indian immigrants have done more to deserve being a part of this country than a good number of Americans. They are very good people.

  • You're a real dumbass.

  • Who is 'immigrant bashing'?

Anyone with a brain would be CONGRESS BASHING and only IDIOTS blame the workers.

Do you have a reference or just a smoke screen?

  • "I can certainly run for the Senate seat in Punjab and win easily,"

LOL yeh i cant believe Hillary said that. I wonder if people in Punjab, India even know who she is haha.

  • Either way I do feel Hillary takes a lot of money from minorities and doesn't pay attention to the issues. Barack signed a letter for Punjabi Sikh Americans against unfair TSA turban checks to show support. Barack focuses more on the issues.

  • Barack H. Obama did not refer to Hillary R. Clinton as a 'Candidate from Punjab' because of outsourcing. The description and video misleads all of that. He reffered to her as that because of her ties to Punjabi Sikhs living in America like Sant Singh Chatwal (rich hotelier). I dont think the rich hotelier is interested in outsourcing.

  • We are NOT Loosers. Let us support Hillary for the wellness of our Nation.

  • "Specially Skilled" means cheaply priced; note how many American programmers were forced to train their "specially skilled" replacements.

Campaign-whoring facilitates on-shoring (via H1B/L1) which facilitates off-shoring which facilitates exporting American middle class jobs which facilitates..... ?

  • Lou Dobbs for president! He speaks for the common person, unlike Swillary.

  • Hillary is liar, theif, she willingly breaks campaign laws. She takes money from convicted felons, she's minimpulative, and her inner circle is like a toned down KGB. She is evil and must be stopped.

  • Hillarys a new world order socialist witch who will do or say anything to get elected. Romney,Guiliani and McCain are also working for the party of global corporatism.

    Vote for Ron Paul

  • Being from poland and as a new computer science grad from American college my experience was exactly the contrary. It took 3 months for me to land an OK offer while most of my American classmates got offers earlier than me. Many companies came to the on-campus job fair with a 'No sponsorship for H1B's', because of the saved cost and hassles from the immigration procedures.

It is clear that many companies will not sponsor H1B if they can hire an American.

  • >> an OK offer

May I ask a few questions? How much was your offer? What was the job description? What kind of company hired you?

  • Please no more Clinton's in the White House. Hillary Clinton - An overly ambitious windsock trying to make it to the Presidency anyway she can. She's only trying to be a freind to India for the fund raising money. This action in no way helps Americans other than to steel their jobs for good.

  • H1B visas is not the problem. Certainly not 115,000 of them. Companies and corporations are responsible for who gets hired not politicians. When CEO's begin to care more about the country than they do about their bottom dollar then things might start to change. I won't be holding my breath though.

  • Bill Clinton was the architect of free trade which put thousands of manufacturing workers out of work. Now, Hillary Clinton wants to be the architect of the destruction of high tech engineering and computer science jobs.

Easy come, easy go with the Clintons (no pun intented!)

  • NAFTA was initially pursued by conservative governments in the United States and Canada supportive of free trade, led by Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney, U.S. President George H. W. Bush, and the Mexican President Carlos Salinas de Gortari.

  • Hillary Clinton is killing her campaign with support of H1B and outsourcing. I have many Democratic friends who once liked her, now due to this issue alone, they hate her guts. Many will even vote for Giuliani if Hillary's nominated! BTW, USA, in UK we had similar program to H1B, it just led smart, talented Brits to study Germany, French and emigrate to Germany, France, Belgium, Italy. Will happen to you as well.

  • Shut up limey, there never was any IT industry in Britain, they dont have any technology over there, so stop spreading lies.

  • Watch the award winning Canadian documentary "The Corporation" available on Youtube in segments. It provides a history of the corporation - how it started and what it has morphed into. Very well done.

  • newamericanindependent dot com

  • News Flash - July 18 - Congress is selling out again!!

SHAME on Sen. Cornyn (R-TX)- call him - email him

There is an attempt to amend the defense authorization bill (HR 1585) with increases to H-1B. In case you haven't been keeping up with the news -- HR 1585 is the bill that is being debated all night on the issue of Iraq. Sen. Cornyn (R-TX) is the ringleader of this insidious plot but he has co-conspirators such as Obama, Clinton, Kerry, Durbin, Lieberman, Hagel, and Feinstein.

  • The corrupt H-1B visa program cited the 1976 "Eilberg Amendment" as precedent. The "studies" that were promoted to pass the 1990 law were all bogus. Microsoft lobbyist Jack Abramoff enhanced his wealth thanks to Microsoft. He and "Team Abramoff" collected big bucks to procure favorable (to Microsoft) changes in H-1B law in 1996, 1998, and 2000 = Abramoff Visa.

  • It disturbs me that so many people think that Hilary is the answer to our problems. If she gets elected it will only be business as usual. The Clintons have sold out the US Worker just like the Republicans have

  • Stopjobmigration:

I won't vote for her and I was a democrate

    Check into Tom Tancredo

Check my description for some facts

  • DirtDiggerMan:

"It was a 5-year at one time when did they change it to 6 ?

    "

Dirt..I can understand you being ignorant...I cannot comprehend a US senator being ignorant of the law..If they had changed it, he should have known...That shows his credibility on what he is talking about.

  • ilovestirfries:

"I cannot comprehend a US senator being ignorant"

Can't understand you being so ignorant - Tancredo is not a US Senator.

  • ListenForTruth:

"Can't understand you being so ignorant - Tancredo is not a US Senator. "

I dont make the rule of the land. I am no senator or congressman. I can be ignorant. But a congressman who is a part of the congress that makes the rule of the land and one who comes on national LIVE television CANNOT be ignorant. Do you have anything to say about that??? NO??? Thought soooooo....

  • ListenForTruth:

"Can't understand you being so ignorant - Tancredo is not a US Senator. "

Dude..Me being IGNORANT is not going to affect YOUR life or other US residents's life...But a congressman WHO FRAMES THE LAW OF THE LAND, if he is IGNORANT, it is going to affect EVERY US RESIDENT's life...Have anything to say about that??? No??? Thought soooooo...

  • Don't worry about it....Tancredo is just another wannabe president. He thinks if bush can do it any tom dick & harry can...

  • Thirdly, he says, H1B visa is a "5-year visa". Sir, Please do your homework before you state something on network television. H1B visa is a "6-year visa" that can be extended depending on applicant's status and not "5-year visa" as you claim.

  • iloverstirfries:

"he says, H1B visa is a "5-year visa"

It was a 5-year at one time when did they change it to 6 ?

Anyway with all the bad news on the H1b, it's history.

  • Secondly, he talks about "Overstaying the Visa". Do you think USCIS will allow legal aliens to overstay their visa? Whoever is still here on H1Bs do have what are called "EXTENSIONS" that they acquire LEGALLY from USCIS. USCIS do allow H1B extensions beyond 6 years if the applicant is in the process of becoming a legal immigrant (Green Card). When USCIS themselves allow the candidates for Extension, what is this talk about Overstaying the Visa?

  • iloverstirfries:

"Do you think USCIS will allow legal aliens to overstay their visa?"

Yes it's a fact just google "overstay visa" number are from 40% to 45%

  • hey dirt...lets focus on H1b overstay..

  • delhirocks1:

Lets focus on no more H1b's - stay home we don't want you

  • "delhirocks1:

Lets focus on no more H1b's - stay home we don't want you"

Dude Iam here..and am loving every minute of it..and thank god people like you are a tiny minority in this country, otherwise the US would be in the stone ages..peace

  • delhirocks:

"you are a tiny minority in this country"

I'm in the majority over 70% want legal immigration lower - polls show it.

  • we'll see....

  • Firstly, he says, "They dont go Home". But Sir, H1B visas are what are called, "Dual-Intent Visas". They are in the country legally and pursue a legal course of action to become a legal immigrant. I dont understand, why they should go home, when they are in the process of becoming a legal immigrant.

  • I am really saddened and disgusted listening to Tancredo's interview on Lou Dobbs show. I can understand his opposition to H1B visa. But, he shouldn't be grossly misstating the facts to support his argument. I can understand this kind of behavior from a lobbyist but I dont expect this kind of behavior from a respectable US senator.

  • What a crap, they don't even know what they are reporting, you know how half to truth is dangerous. 5 years visa, overstaying, they didn't even try to check the laws, not expected at all from national reputed media.

  • Clinton is a member of Council on Foreign Relations which is the force behind the push for the North American Union, NAFTA SUPERHIGHWAY,SPP, NORTH AMERICAN UNION, One World Government Bullcrap! No national sovereignty -- Open Borders. She voted "Yes" for Amnesty. What Presidential Candidates are part of the CFR? Fred Thompson Rudy Giuliani John McCain Mitt Romney Jim Gilmore Newt Gingrich Hillary Clinton Barack Obama John Edwards Joe Biden Chris Dodd Bill Richardson
  • Vote for Tom Tancredo

He's the only one that has never voted "YES" on H1b

  • Companies love foreign labor because they can use these h1's like indentured slaves and don't have to pay prevailing wages. Don't think that you are smart it is just that you are exploitable. Don't call me racist since I am of Indian origin. I don't think it is fair to say that Indian Americans support H1b increase. A few handful executives who run body shops support H1b increase and they don't represent the majority of American Indians.

  • I know many Indians who are far more opposed to H-1B than most other Americans. That's because these Indians understand what's at stake.

  • We need to improve our education system so we can get good education, we put billion $ for stadium but not to education so we are paying it with many ways. Go hillary you are brave to say it.

  • Actually, according to US Dept. of Education, US graduated 300k mericans in Computer Science 2006 & related fields...while only 150,000 new jobs were created. Now consider that over 300,000 H-1bs entered US same year and addl 300k+ L-1 Visas, 50% in IT..displacing hundreds of thousands more American workers. THERE IS NO SHORTAGE. This is an elitist agenda to destroy existance of middleclass!!

  • here is the deal...I am an H1b that went to MIT. My company pays me in 6 figures + they pay 1000's of $ in my visa fees. If my company had an american with my level of skill sets/aptitude available why would they do that. I am not saying Iam the best & brightest, but there are too few of us. If in this economy, you are having trouble finding a job...its your prob. not anybody else's.

  • delhircorks1:

"My company pays me in 6 figures" I would bet you are still paid lower than an American worker. Most Engineers from MIT are paid around 250K so 100K is nothing more so if you live in CA.

  • ghill2008 - Are you a moron?

  • If American don't have skill what is wrong to bring smartest person of the world. After all, our economy is international.

  • My husband is the only American left on his entire team...the rest new arrivals from India. It is an absolute disaster!! He believes it's only a matter of time before they realize "you get what you pay for", and re-hire the highly skilled Americans they threw into poverty.

  • Your husband is kidding himself. I hate to break the bad news to the two of you, but if he loses his job, the H-1Bs will be the ones getting the work experience. In today's labor market, being unemployed for 6 months is the kiss of death, and it won't matter if you use the time to educate yourself. Like most Americans, your husband will be just another day's garbage. People should not expect these jobs to come back if they allow them to be given away. The world is a cruel place.

  • Hope you're not right. Luckily, it's a total disaster! LOL! Major ordering systems generating $36 million an hour are constantly going down, they are on the brink of losing their largest client, holding emergency meetings & things getting worse daily! As soon as Indian is "KAP'd" & begins to catch on...he/she quits. Turnover is catestrophic. Consultants have no stake or care about temporary employers like in-house do.

  • Too bad India's economy ISN'T "international"...they are highly protectionist and it's amost impossible for an American to get a work visa to work in India! See Businesweek article entitled "American's Need Not Apply".

  • ghill2008:

It's not about skill and all about slave labor - working cheap.

Skill level of 90% of H1b's are at level 1 - which is no skills

Lou bring this point up all the time

  • ghill2008 - It's not about skill you fool,it's about cheaper labor

  • Lou Dobbs didn't exaggerate -- if anything he understated the extent of Hillary Clinton's perfidy. Part 2 of this video is coming soon! For anyone who thinks Dobbs is exaggerating or taking Clinton's statements out of context, I provided several video clips from her speech to IIT. It is some the most shameful pandering imaginable. Look for, "Hillary Clinton -- IIT grads". I'm considering adding more video footage to that series. JobDestruction(dot)info

  • IIT Alumi Hardly come through H1-B visa... IIT alumi are a totally different breed.. Their education in India is totally subsidized... American corporations recruit them right from the universities, for they are the best of the best.. You should actually get the video of the conference of ITT alumni, and watch...

  • They're subsidized?? That's considered "dumping" and must be stopped. Americans are graduating with 20+ years of $750+ a month payments to pay for their college and forced to compete with government subsidized cheap labor?? What a sham!!

  • They are not subsidized...It is their hard work out of 250,000 students who intially enter the exam... 100,00 clear the initial entrance, 4000 make it to ITT... That is a competetion... IITians are subsidized for India, but many American companies recruit them out of university...

  • Name ONE graduate from IIT who's won first place in any global IT competition. Name ONE IIT grad whose invented any world changing technical innovation.

  • Mary101961 wrote:

"Name ONE graduate from IIT who's won first place in any global IT competition. Name ONE IIT grad whose invented any world changing technical innovation"

    uhhh...heard of hotmail...duh!

  • Of so many IITians you only came up with the founder of Hotmail? Sad

  • OK, so how do I get the video of the entire conference?

  • If IIT is a "totally different breed" why did they place 80th in the Global Coding Competition not long ago? FYI, MIT placed first, Harvard placed second, Beijing U. placed third, then more American University students, then European, then more American.....way down there at 80th place was IIT. Also, why hasn't any grad from IIT won any other prestigious awards or been credit with inventing anything?? IIT is clearly below average.

  • part-4

In the original post someone mentioned that IITians are of different breed and perhaps are the best of the best. IITians are of different breed because they are perhaps the cheapest group of highly skilled IT professionals out there. US corporations are not recruiting IIT graduates because they are the smartest; they do it because they are smart and also cheap.

  • I am so sick and tired of this IITian hoopla. What people don't get is that IIT is the only institute in India that is capable of producing intellects that can compete on world's stage. I agree that IIT is #1 in India and its graduate is highly sought-after resource in corporate world. Now, #1 in India does not make IIT the best or even one of the best institute in the world.

    ---see part-2

  • part-2

The fact that 250,000 students take the entrance exam doesn't mean much. It is the result of over population and not enough institutes for higher education. IIT entrance exam is a must do ritual for any student of mathematics, engineering or of science. 4,000 students who make it to IIT are from within India. Note that this is a huge number. The acceptance rate is much lower than 1%. The number of students admitted in a particular university in US is far less than this.

  • part-3

In US not everyone applies to the same institute or for that matter selected few institutes. If 250,000 students apply to one of the top four universities then acceptance rate is going to be far less than IIT.

  • part-5

As user Mary101961 pointed that none of the IIT graduate has won any prestigious award and I don't remember ever reading a break through paper or major book authored by IIT graduate. I don't remember any IIT graduate ever getting ACM Turing award. Upon doing some research we (look at Turing award entry on wiki) I came across few names but surprisingly none of them were from IIT India, as a matter of fact the one who were from India graduated from some of the other universities in India.

  • Check Raj Reddy before you shoot ur mouth.

  • Raj Reddy never went to IIT.

-undergraduate studies at the College of Engineering, Guindy (now part of Anna University) in 1958

master's degree in Civil Engineering at the University of New South Wales, and a PhD in Computer Science at Stanford University in 1966

He is also the chairman, Governing Board of IIIT Hyderabad.

  • part-6

How many articles do IIT graduates or for that matter students publish in science or engineering journals? Not too many. I have not come across even one.

IIT is perhaps an institute that produces the largest number of graduates in the IT field. There are more graduates of IIT (all seven campus) than the combined strength of top four American universities. Clearly quantity does not say anything about quality of these students.

  • part-7

I am not arguing that IIT graduates are of less caliber, the point that I am trying to make is that calling IIT graduates best of the best breed is an exaggeration. Looking past the hoopla there is nothing to back up these claims.

    --End--

  • You gotta love Lou dobbs, and You gotta feel sorry for his audience...
