I love my 325i. Only mod is a Signature Motoring performance intake kit. They run around $150 and add around 9hp in the six-cylinder E30s and a bit less in the 318. That's the best value per HP gain... A good value for the extra oomph. General HP increases are shown:

E30 series: 6.0-13.4hp gain

E36 series: 5.5-12hp gain

E46 series: 6.0-13.9hp gain

E92 series: 8.5+ hp gain

Z3/Z4 (all): 5.5-13.9hp gain

Great cars, I can relate to your regrets. I owned 3 different E30 and the analog driving experience is just wonderful. Yet, it's such a shame, the mechanics and upholstery of these M3 seats tend to wear out pretty badly. I look at your leather and see the one in my last E30...

In fact, the overall quality of the E30 Interior was bit on the shitty side.

A friend of mine owned a B3 Alpina in fantastic shape.... and was hit and pushed into the guardrails on the Autobahn... wreck.

@getdealtwithquick +1 driving experience is truly awesome. Interior and materials were very durable in my opinion but agreed, seam placement and bead on the seat's curvy bolsters needs improved design...only suggestion with an otherwise killer RECARO seat. REAL LEATHER for these $35K cars new!

@bartekone The wheels on this car are from a 1999 BMW 540i (e39 chassis) The name of the wheels are "Radial 32" The fronts have spacers for proper clearance and the rears have lower profile tires for proper clearance. These are also a staggered set with wider set in the rear. I had my friend at sunvalleywheels refinish these in gun metal powder coat process. The e30 M3 is 5 lug and other non M e30s are 4 lug. @BMWGirlyGirl Please stop the spam. I posted this for no monetary gain. Besides, cone filters for Bosch air metered cars do virtually nothing for performance. They result in ingesting both hot air and larger micron particulates which increases wear.

@JamakianSoulja Having it sit around in a garage is one thing and it did appreciate in value. In terms of a daily driver that you can beat on, the e36 M3 has served me so well. I say e30 M3 with more displacement or turbo, or both with AC...then we have something usable. It's the ultimate driving machine, not the ultimate sitting in the garage machine.

Most of the German cars have the same shift pattern. Reverse snaps over left just like the knob shows. The gear knob is the correct M-Technic lighted version. Very slick update which includes the wiring kit adapter to make it plug and play.

@RSGruppe i guess i didn't made myself clear... the E30 M3's first gear is a 'DOG LEG' first, for those who don't know what that is, i'll explain... First gear goes where 2nd gear normally is, leaving 2,3,4 and 5th in the 'H' patern (racing gearbox basically)... The gearknob we're seing here is wrong because it indicates 1st gear as being 'left-forward' and it should be 'left-backward'.... By the way, i've owned a E30 M3, a E38 740i (6sp manual), a E39 M5 and two E36 M3 ('94 and '98)

I regret selling my M-Sport, (a lot of those cars were exported to egypt, if you tried hunting the motor ads in africa, you will see these beauties hidden away for about 5k..
