im 15 and in the indiana sympony and I think You have great potential, maby i will see u in the national sympony 1day... try to move with the music, flow with it, become in touch with how you think the composer felt and you will improve 10 fold
@lovesviola -- hi, thanks!!! the national symphony sounds great...i hope we both get there someday. this was my first viola recital...i hope i as time goes on, i'll find my groove :D
I have probably said this before, but you have a very musical sound in your vibrato and phrasing, especially after playing viola for such a short time. Your bow does seems to skid around a bit but I'm sure your viola teacher will fix that in no time. Keep the videos coming!
@Bratsche2000 -- whoa, thanks!!! i'm really enjoying the viola and am going to give it a serious go. definately...my teacher sees what you see....after so many years on the violin, i'm just learning that i can apply more serious pressure on the bow without fear of breaking the instrument....i think my touch is too light for the viola, but its a work in progress.
@philochristos -- hey thanks so much...glad you liked it. the accompanist was at the end of a long day...i think she accompanied 40 violinists, 30 cellists, and 15 violists. i was the last performer of this long day...plus, this was the first time we'd played together.
Good work. I never found a pro recording of this concerto that ever satisfied until i heard atar arad on youtube. Check it out

Sir, you have really come into your own as a violist! Absolutely amazing! :D I say you and your sister need to play Mozart's Sinfonia Concertante.

Well done, ole chap! I really like that one. I wish the piano had been a little more quiet, though.
