sorry to say guys but this game isnt coming out because nintendo got upset when they saw that webzen was using windwaker-like graphics because it was nintendo's idea and so its nintendo's property and pretty much said if you release the game you will go to jail. i really wanted to play it. and it sucks because nintend got so upset be cause webzen was using similar graphics to windwaker (remember this is a totally different game)and told them not to release it?! it's not windwaker OK NINTENDO?!

Who keeps spreading this shit? Did you even READ the article? Nintendo THREATENED to sue them -if- they used stolen graphics. Which they didn't, meaning there's no reason to stop. Give me an article saying the games not coming out and I'll feel like believing a bunch of youtube comments. Damn. You'd think people would source this stuff.

I do believe I saw someone looking a little too similar to link in the background; but yeah I'd expect Nintendo to make a quick sue if the graphics guys from windwaker didn't get to compare the graphics side by side.

Don't get me wrong, I don't expect you to buy that there are no similarities because there's a LOT of similarities. However, if you could see this game for being like Wind Waker then the makers of Ultima could sue anyone who used isometric graphics in other games.

However, Nintendo 'threatened' to sue them. I have yet to see anything to do with them actually attempting to press charges. The differences could fair out in graphics, but more importantly gameplay. I don't see what the big deal is.

The big deal essecentally only matters for graphics, as the guys at Nintendo worked rather hard to get those cartoony effects; and should another company take those and use them for another pourpose would be escentially the same as using a retail product for a base design without it's company consent.

Only korean styled MMORPGs have always had cartoon-like graphics. However the graphics only seem to be styled in the same manner, not stolen. So it's not open to any lawsuits. Graal Online avoided the same thing by simply making the graphics look SIMILAR to Link To The Past rather than ripping the graphics right out. Of course it was called Zelda Online as well when Nintendo noticed.

If the graphics are stolen, then Webzen can still change them as well. Don't even seem stolen, just similar.
