But the Xbox 360 doesn't do what I want it to do. And to live with the risk of RROD ... I wouldn't be able to.

That happened to me too! That is exactly what I would of wanted to do! I even called in September to make sure it was the ps3 version, and they were like, "Here you go", "What, is this a joke? I even called ahead to make sure it was for the ps3! I'm never shopping here again!" So I then went to Wal-Mart and got their last copy and it was the Hardened edition.
