@irishosaru, Not sure where you're from, maybe people there give each other time to get themselves set to fight in a street fight. here, it all happens in under 15 seconds, no warning, no time and certainly not enough room to kick someone while they're in your face, trying to lay you out. Seen a lot of boxers and thai boxers come unstuck very quickly, regardless of size, power or physical shape. If you fight in the street, eventually you lose. simple.

In what way is Peter Aerts more complete a fighter than a person like Floyd Mayweather? If it is because he uses weapons other than his hands then of course you're right, but it is hardly a fair comparison.

I have never seen a kickboxer / MMA / thai fighter as good at firing off combinations as a boxer like Juan Manuel Marquez.

But it's a silly comparison as the different rules in the sports makes comparison pointless.

put it this way, if it were a street fight, the kickboxer would have a better set of weapons he can use compared to a boxer... also, if they were to be put into a mma bout, the typical thai boxer (kickboxer) can easily keep his distance and chop down the legs of the boxer making it impossible for him to put up a decent fight... boxing is great but just not as well rounded as kickboxing when it comes to fighting...
