Wow...the halls are soo narrow you couldn't even fit your bed in half a room. Then again, you have a roof over your head so this what matters the most.
@1995Nekfeu You know, I'm not sure, it's a very oddly shaped place, it's like a wedge shape. I wouldn't say anymore than 300, probably less though. Rent is no more than $300 US Dollars a month.
This is awesome, I love mini places so cozy.. only instead of bed if you had sofa bed would've been more spacious ..meh who cares you are happy with it! :D
@monoroma1 I actually don't live here anymore. But a friend of mine does. He has lived here going on 3 years now. The rent is so cheap he goes out for every meal, seeing that there is no kitchen.
The only thing I like is the bathroom. You know few have done renovations to add more width. You may not have the money, but try not to add too much anything there because it's so crowded as it is.
who designs a place like this? A room that narrow doesn't exactly lend itself to spreading out. However the square footage of this place looks about the same as my old studio apartment.
@scooterbear93 You know! Seeing this video has made me really apreciate the apartment i live in. At least I have a garden, ok so it over looks the bus stop and im abit paranoid people can see me but WHO CARES compared to this, even my hall way is bigger than this apartment! Sorry Just saying :P
$10 dollars a day = $300 a month I would do it for $120 a month. I lived in a space similar for that price. No need for a kitchen when you got a microwave and a bathroom sink :P....
@94babylozzi it was tough, I only lived there for about 18 months. I ate mainly hot dogs that I microwaved, or those instant macaroni things. It wasn't fun.
The apartment isn't even that small as square feet, it's only the stupid shape that makes it feel damn tiny. There must've been one lousy architect drawing that.
Install either shelfs or a cabinet in the 2nd window sill closest to the back door. (Close it off by drilling an enclosed cabinet to the sides). Again, you will totally maximize space by lifting your bed in the air and being able to sit under it. Mount a small flat screen to the opposite wall and you have increased your apt size by approx. 33%! If you are not good at builing stuff then go to Ikea and buy the kids bed with the workspace below. If youre broke then use a bunk bed without the bottom
Take the bed out and build a loft bed out of plywood connected to the wall (4 ft from top of ceiling and connected to the wall) and stick your same mattress on top of it. (It is basically a large table w/ long legs and plywood top). Now you can put an Ikea chair under it and some other things and on the opposite wall hang a flat screen from that wall. I have a grand piano in a space as small as yours but you have a bit funkier of a shape. $450 month including utilities/Balboa Park San Diego CA
@nuby3000 K mine is a tad bigger but mind you, just a tad. It just seemed bigger because everything was a little more spaced out compared to mine where my tv is on my bed rest and my microwave is on an extension of the bed rest, lol ill stop complaining now just saying (:
I agree with some of the others about the furniture, I think a love seat or chair that folds out for sleeping would have given a little more room...also no kitchen? even a microwave and small refrigerator? Didn't see one.
@nancylp1111 The Apartment comes furnished. So, not much I can do about that. And no there is not a kitchen, but I do have a small refrigerator and a microwave, so it's not that bad.
@nuby3000 If it comes furnished I wouldn't complain either..lol and a microwave and small refrigerator would suffice. I live in a town where many times the studios are more expensive than the 1 bedrooms because the studios are usually downtown. You've lived there for awhile now since you posted this 2 yrs ago.
OMG, I'm claustrophobic just watching this. I think you need different furniture, the type you have is too clunky causing it to look as small as it is. It can look and FEEL larger with the correct furniture.
woooow!!!!! amazin, i wouldnt want to live there for free, i feel bad for u,, just go back to moms, thats just waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyy to tiny, thats to tiny for even a Lil person*(
nice tiny place! u should clean it up and change some things arrangement to make it more comfortable to live well - also for the ladies that may visit your home ;D
you could get a daybed and put drawers or some sort storage where the couch is. put some shelves in or something. man that's not just small that's tight. i feel clostrophobic(sp?) just looking at it. pick up your crap. that would help.... a little.
If you don't mind me asking, how much a month do you pay? I am going to be moving to NYC in about 3 years to become a FDNY EMT and wont be making a lot of money, only 27 grand a year.
Also, any advice on where to live, how to find a cheap but decent apartment, etc. would be much appreciated!
