@Warthog2554 God. No you can not. You have no weapons whosoever, and all you can do is run and hide. Monsters can't see you if you hide in dark places and avoid looking at them, but you go crazy if you're in the dark, and the crazier you get, the easier it is for monsters to sense you. So basically you have to dart between light and dark and hope they don't find you.

His name is Daniel and he's attempting to piece together the reason for him being in the castle, as he wiped his own memory so he'd forget the heinous crimes he committed there and rectify himself. Monsters(the gatherers, deformed humans) patrol the halls; it takes like half an hour to see your first monster, and you're going to die--I believe it's scripted, not sure.

You have to play the game with headphones on to understand the sheer terror of being locked in a room with a jawless monster trying to smash down the door with only a potted plant and a piece of bread to defend yourself. (Throw the bread at the monsters; it immobilizes them for a second. I knew baked goods would come in handy someday :D)
