Now that looks cool it looks like something out of an Alien movie or something man. And what I'm liking about the HD camera is you can really see the machining that someone put into this stuff. It shows someone who isn't doing a knife or a semi custom dremel his youtube name and paint a spyderco make money job this kinda work shows someone who loves what he's doing and does a knife like he was doing it for himself.
Well, I'm sure he could use "a ball bearing system" but IKBS printed on the blade gives you that brand recognition. Having that logo on your blade is kind of a nike symbol on your shirt.
Great video. That is a hell of blade. I am sure it is fairly light. I didn't her you say the weight. How much doesit weigh? The side opening slots look a lot better than the Spyderco hole. Also I am just curious, How much does it sell for?
Being a custom that was made around '09 I can't find any record of weight specs and don't have a scale. I would say around 7 oz if I had to guess. Something like this could be found pre-owned for around 500
Now that is one unique looking blade! That grind on the blade is a nice opening option. The action looks as smooth as the Kershaw Tilt. BTW your lighting looks better:) It looks smoother and cooler in temp. Great work!
I'm just gonna sample everything you said about mikkel and his knives...mine was my first IKBS as well. I'm actually gonna send mine back to him for some work..the texturing on the handle with the toxic green and black g10 looks like a "pimped" knife to me
@xiuxiu1313 I haven't seen one one your videos, but EVERY other channel's videos do. Well it seems like it! I don't even know what it's about. Frankly, I don't care.
Yeah, I struggled with that for a long time. It is a really great place to buy and sell, especially if you are into the more expensive knives. I have gotten alot of good deals on there. Oromoto just posted a TON of his stuff for really reasonable prices.
I would say that out of bladeforums and usn makers and custom enthusiasts hang out more on USN. The cove gets crazy though bro.... a Les George FM-1 will last an average of 8 min before it's sold. Stuff goes quick, if you are actively looking expect to hit refresh all day or you will never get it.
Prices are always better thorugh the maker than from a dealer. Dealers simply place orders for knives, pay the same as everyone else, then add on top of it to make a profit when they sell on their site. The best prices will always be buying second hand from someone who is trying to make some quick cash. Mikkel runs specials on his forum on USN as well. For instance his recent Superbad 10 piece run he did for 550.00 shipping to the US.

Probably expense. I'm sure they are expensive themselves, and you probably have to pay the creator to use them.
xiuxiu1313 1 month ago
@xiuxiu1313 Must be it. I know they ask for it to be licensed but it's also surprising they could get a patent on a bearings....

@xiuxiu1313 do you think you could sell anything for 300 or less to help out a new custom knife collector?

I've never had to send anything overseas..I'm a little sketched about it.

I hear that. That last knife sale vid I did, every single knife sold went overseas. I have a couple more knives coming from Mikkel as well.
