This song is good, but it's too fast for the movie. Like, look at Lux Aeterna, the main theme. It's haunting and slow. Like Gary Jule's version of Mad World. It's still and amazing song and an amazing movie that I have yet to see.

@Critikills Well,actually I use to listen heavy metal,like Metallica,Iron Maiden and,my favorite band Bon Jovi.Probably you know that there's a big difference between BJ and Silverstein.So it doesn't mean I listen screamo just beacuse it's "cool"...I just listen songs that make me feel ok,that share some feelings with others. watching this film is fucking hard to me, all scenes with his girlfirend, specially the ....dildo party. its so bad. now i smoke and sometimes i go flying, holiday at home. or in/on the dancefloor. :)... this movie shows a strange sad reality
@DeadRiser1 Actually, it's called an Abcess, not only from using dirty or dull rigs, but also from the cut in the dope, and from repeateadly hitting the same spot in a vein. I've known people with MUCH worse abcesses, no skin on their hands, holes in their legs. I've only had 5 in my life, 2 had to be drained at the hospital, 3 broke on their own. The cops don't arrest you for having abcesses or even being a junkie. (unless they want you to assume the cops found dope on them or in the car).
@bentheweirdo You're on one of the greatest painkillers daily, heroin, so no, it doesn't hurt as bad as you think. But they do get really sore. You've got to get the pus out then they leave gaping hole that leaves a permanent scar. They hurt, but not nearly as bad as you'd think. Meth makes REALLY bad abscesses, especially when you miss your vein, those chemicals just eat up your muscles and fat...

Great Movie one of my favorites. Especially how Marlon Wayans didn't bathe for weeks and got really rugged for this movie because the director wasn't sure if Marlon could be serious enough for this role <3

Its the most popular type of heroin in the eastern part of the United States which happens to be where New York is which happens to be where the movie takes place. First time I saw the movie i thought cocaine too...just cause u see someone snorting white powder you want to think cocaine...but ya its actually china white, heroin.
@bloke856 they are snorting white herion which is diamorphine hydrochloride, that herion is water soluble, so it is commonly snorted like cocaine. diamorphine base which is brown herion, is not 100% water soluble so it is hardly snorted, its more manufactured to smoke, afgan brown in its most soild form is brown, its what we get in the U.K. cony island N.Y.C which is where the film is set, get white heroin the lucky bastards haha
@antony6969 A bit of misinformation there. The HCl (hydrochloride) protonated form of ... well, any drug really, is white in color usually. The brown heroin is also a HCl if we're talking about west coast US brown powder or black tar; those are both "Number four" or HCl heroin.
@antony6969 I live in the states and all I can get is black tar/brown heroin. Black Tar/Brown heroine is water soluble, how do you think people shoot it? Anyways everyone I know started off snorting the brown before they moved on to the needle. The reason it is less common is cause it doesn't come in a ready to snort form. Two common ways to snort it are to mix it with another water soluble powder i.e Tylenol PM until u got a light brown powder or mix with a cap of water and snort a raw mixture.
@ronaldsucks as far as I know the states don't get Afghanistan brown heroin, black tar is totally different to afgan brown. you can dissolve black tar in just water. over here in the U.K and the rest of Europe people use an acid with water to brake it down so no one really sniffs it like cocaine. what I was stating earlier is the fact that in the film everyone is snorting and shooting H because you can snort white heroin.

The film was fantastic. I was impressed at the end of shocking, I was a strange sentiment for a couple of days, and it is difficult to recover from this movie. I would recommend it for all to see. But the second generation do not want him to see.

@mhl026 i said the movie says they're cocaine addicts as in the movie descriptions and it leaves out the fact that they do heroin as well, i never said they DIDN'T do heroin, obviously no shit they're doing heroin. In the book they don't do cocaine.

@antony6969 yeah exactly what i was saying. it was wrong. so many people have this misconception that its cocaine and its not. and yes the book is good the only thing is that the book has no quotations so sometimes its hard to tell who's speaking but its really good.

Its the most popular type of heroin in the eastern part of the United States which happens to be where New York is which happens to be where the movie takes place. First time I saw the movie i thought cocaine too...just cause u see someone snorting white powder you want to think cocaine...but ya its actually china white, heroin.

@bloke856 they are snorting white herion which is diamorphine hydrochloride, that herion is water soluble, so it is commonly snorted like cocaine. diamorphine base which is brown herion, is not 100% water soluble so it is hardly snorted, its more manufactured to smoke, afgan brown in its most soild form is brown, its what we get in the U.K. cony island N.Y.C which is where the film is set, get white heroin the lucky bastards haha

@antony6969 A bit of misinformation there. The HCl (hydrochloride) protonated form of ... well, any drug really, is white in color usually. The brown heroin is also a HCl if we're talking about west coast US brown powder or black tar; those are both "Number four" or HCl heroin.

@antony6969 I live in the states and all I can get is black tar/brown heroin. Black Tar/Brown heroine is water soluble, how do you think people shoot it? Anyways everyone I know started off snorting the brown before they moved on to the needle. The reason it is less common is cause it doesn't come in a ready to snort form. Two common ways to snort it are to mix it with another water soluble powder i.e Tylenol PM until u got a light brown powder or mix with a cap of water and snort a raw mixture.

@ronaldsucks as far as I know the states don't get Afghanistan brown heroin, black tar is totally different to afgan brown. you can dissolve black tar in just water. over here in the U.K and the rest of Europe people use an acid with water to brake it down so no one really sniffs it like cocaine. what I was stating earlier is the fact that in the film everyone is snorting and shooting H because you can snort white heroin.

I've shot plenty of white dope on the east coast, out here it's all tar. They aren't shooting coke at all.

I've also seen arms MUCH worse than that, and been to the hospital for abscesses, they never called the cops, or amputated the persons arms or legs. Shit, I've had abcesses worse than that on my forearm, my shoulder, and my friends hands were down to almost the bone, same with another friends legs. it's not illegal to be a junkie, only to possess or sell drugs |(or make or grow them). Remember people, it's a MOVIE, but there's no discussion about what drug they're on. They're heroin addicts.

This movie is my life....H is no joke. Whether its tar or powder, shooting snorting or smoking, kicking is hell. Kicking in jail is worse than hell. I've been on methdone for 9 years off this shit, lost many friends, my brother to suicide and the girl I loved....don't let it destroy your life. you CANNOT "use once in awhile", trust me......

The film was fantastic. I was impressed at the end of shocking, I was a strange sentiment for a couple of days, and it is difficult to recover from this movie. I would recommend it for all to see. But the second generation do not want him to see.
