I caught a leopard shark in malibu on my fly rod, the shark was 57 inches long and must have weighed over 50 lbs, on a 6wt. rod and 10lb line! took over 30 minutes to land it and made me run up and down the beach about a mile!
That's cool to see! The Leos you catch there have teeth. Down here in Newport Harbor, they are lighter colored, more spots, but no teeth. Interesting contrast. Thanks for sharing

do u use steel leaders? i was told its not necessary for leopards

@Eric2827 Just use a thicker mono as a leader with a circle hook. these guys do get crazy and twist around on your line.
