  • MACK E9 V8 IS MY FAVORITE OF ALL V8 DIESELS. BETTER THAN 8V92 AND CATERPILLAR 3408.

  • Fucking awesome:D

  • Comment removed

  • this makes my MAN TGX 26.440 Sound limp... :(

  • @texast525

So, you made a trip from Adelaide to Brisbane with that Mack? I'm a Mack fan meself, Mate!

  • I' ve just wet myself

  • Who's crane is this on the back??? Is it a HHA crane now??

  • Comment removed

  • holy shit that is cool

  • Wish my Powerstroke sounded that good!

  • i have a dumb question, why are you hauling a mobile crane? Isn't easier to just drive the crane?

  • @truckr74 could have been going to get repairs.

  • @truckr74 2000 odd kms mate, too far to run a crane. they are designed for shorter runs.

  • awesome v8

  • Nothing can beat V8 Diesel sound . :-)

  • Love the white face gauges!....Nothing like the sound of a big block Mack!!

  • Why is glass tinted on the bottom instead of top? I thought is Australia the weather is dry, so there's more sky glare than road glare. And how about pedestrians in dark clothing?

  • @stereorail its to stop the glare reflecting off the bonnet (hood if ur in the states). used to see it a lot in Australia but not so common these days.

  • i like 50 year old mens balls

  • FUCK that thing has some balls!!

  • Air wipers...the inventer should be slow roasted over a hot damn fire..I had a freightliner FLD and a 79 White Road Commander(commode) that had them and they suck. Nice sounding Bulldog Mack. Wish I had a V-8..LOL

  • Great would like to see Them.

  • I remember the air wipers on my R model mack , what a pain in the ass they can be but it sure did have a great motor

  • We americans do everything backwards compared to the Austrailians. We put the tint on the top part of the windows and they put it on the bottom. LOL. We have to be different!

  • these things definatley got a sound all of their own

  • Everyting about this truck is cool, and sounds cool.

    EXCEPT FOR THAT WIPER...

  • @tpaper12 good ole Mack air wipers

  • Damn that v8 note sounds nice

  • You must have a terrible headache each time you reach your destination...

  • Waau this truck has a great V8 sound , just one thing. Damn the truck seems hard and uncomfortable compered to the Volvo's and scania trucks, have you tried driving a swedish truck. But great video.

  • @visti1 He has 6 brand new Volvo FH16 700's coming - one has already been delivered and we want a video of it!

  • i like the sound

  • is the speedo KMH or MPH? looks like MPH

  • @Benedettini93 km/h - this is in Australia!

  • You're going to blow it! P.S watch your head!

  • how long do these rigs last before requiring major overhauling. as they are pulling some massive weight with alot of load on engines ands stuff

still love it though would love to drive for hha would be mad.

  • how many horse power is this?

  • this is a nice v8 sound

  • any body who dos'nt think that gear changing and engine noise is as sweet as the sound of a nice friendly ladies undergarments hitting the floor need to go look at something else. f*ck the black tar and rain keep her at it mate! perfect!

  • Nice super liner and nice engine sound!

  • I had an 84 Super Liner with an E-9 v8 making 560 to the rear wheels it had the air shift 12spd too man I loved that truck it would pull anything. On the subject of killing the v-8 it was already dead in the US due to epa regs and Mack had no intentions of bringing one back it cost too much to meet emissions and was too heavy for most buyers. The MP10 16liter makes more torque faster with Mack programming than Volvo and they pull damn good from what I hear.

  • Mate does that strip of black piss you off?

  • how are u supposed to look in the mirror if window is closed??

  • 300 tonnes?

  • @landybob 300 tonne lift weight, not vehicle weight!

  • That is one of the sweetest exhaust notes EVER!! :) Lovely shifting too!

  • TURBO SOUND 24/7

  • You boys down under sure do have some nice trucks. I would love to get down there some day and see a road train in person. I would really like to put a few miles on one but I don't think my brain will let me shift with my left hand.

  • Comment removed

  • @TheMackz08 You left caps lock on btw

  • @TheMackz08 ur a dick

  • kennethrobinson11231 I had a 1984 Superliner with an E9 440 it put 560 to the wheels and it still runs today here in TN, 80000lbs was nothing you could skip shift the mack 12spd. I love to older Macks they are the toughest trucks youll ever find I had the 84 a 93 CH with a E7 400 and a 04 with a AI 427 all were great trucks and are still working today. I liked the Super Dog with the V-8 the most Id love to get her back just to cruise on the weekends.

  • CAN YOU SHOW US MORE OF THIS TRUCK?

  • horsepower doesn't matter... torque is what you need.

  • Beautiful music !!!!

  • fucking awesome vid, stick the cummins and cat

  • That amazes me how much the landscape looks like the southwest United States....If you told me you were outside of Albuquerque, New Mexico I would believe you.

  • A corker of an engine makes a Scanny V8 sound like a honda moped. Lucky sod ,having a snorter like that under the bonnet. Hmm got me thinking, aScammell Crusader with a Mack V8,short underswept exhaust to set off car alarms,6 speed allison box with 3 speed aux, 9 ton kirstall front axle shod with 385-65-R 22,5 super single tyres on speedline allys. go up cowcombe hill like shit of a shovel..

    From oldboilerdog.

  • Sounds Incredible!.. love it :)

  • beautiful truck! V8's never really caught on up here in North America for big rigs. they could pass anything but a fueling station though.

  • @spencnaz The bottom end of the V-8 Mack would not hold up here in the states. I don't know why, but the rods wouldn't hold up. Now with all the GOV. reg. like noise reg. exhaust reg. fuel reg. that engine would not stand a chance here . This is why they not here anymore. They do run good, and I love the sound. There was some around in the 70's But I haven't seen one in 25 years.

  • @kennethrobinson11231 I never had the chance to work on one of these engines, but what I heard is that they would shake themselves to pieces eventually. Shame really, they do sound great. 1000 cubic inches of diesel Mack V8, what's not to love?

  • @kennethrobinson11231

Volvo killed the Mack engine line after they bought them out (Via purchasing Renault). Mack stopped the V8 production in 1998 BUT it is known that Mack was revamping the design to make a come back in the states with even bigger HP but Volvo canned the Mack engine line in favor of their own. Damn shame really.

  • by the sound of it ur running a spicer overdrive gearbox

  • @wabbles323 nah thats a twin splitter 12spd mack box

  • @dognz09 fair enough just sounds like a spicer to me

  • @wabbles323 all good bud.. the 18spd is my fav...

  • @dognz09 yeah me 2

  • sounds like my r model pulling rig

  • gotta love the sopund of that v8 popping. wee bit of over reving thou. but she can handle it

  • This is my new ringtone.

  • me facsina este camion

  • Mack is my favorite trucks of all

  • this is sound for me...

  • That dash is nicely layed out. and looks great. I have been thinking of a better way to use up the space of both panels and this looks like a good upgrade.

  • E-9 V8s and superliners are the best combos that for sure

  • is that a twin split tranny `?

    cheers from Denmark. Haustan.

  • @haustan123 Triple countershaft Mack 12 speed

  • I'm thinking it sounds like a powerstroke on steroids and crack. Which is awesssomeeeee

  • texast525.....you folks sure take pride in your equipment...Very Nice!! Where are

    you based out of ??

  • @TurbinePower69 HHA is based out of Larapinta, Queensland, Australia!

  • @huppypuppy Thank you for your response..I am presently beginning the paperwork to move to AU...to Queensland...met a lady from there about two

years ago...over here...(Montana) and are planning on getting married after I

move over there. I have almost 40 yrs experience in trucking, about 8 yrs of

it with lowbeds moving equipment (dozers, frontend loaders, etc) and 14 yrs

    as an owner / operator...with V12 DD's for power, 6x4 transmissions. could I

    find work there?

  • @TurbinePower69 You can - there's quite a shortage of drivers.... the older drivers are retiring and the companies they work for cannot get the younger people in! I'll PM you via your channel more about Heavy Haulage Australia including their website and contact details!

  • @huppypuppy Thank You sir......I would Really appreciate that, alot. As I said,

I do have nearly 40 yrs experience (since 1971) and have accumulated over

5 1/2 million miles.....Accident Free. Would like to find an outfit to work for,

such as yours, that takes pride in really nice equipment, and also that runs

NON - European type of trucks...ie: Macks, KW's, Western Stars, Pete's, with

good power, ie: QSX / KTA Cummins, E-9 macks, 3408 Cats, etc.

  • @huppypuppy Hi Joe...haven't heard from you lately...wondering if you had the info you were going to send

me on HHA. My wife to be, over there just sent me an e-mail saying that Larapinta is only 3 streets away from

where one of her daughters & family, lives. Looking forward to hearing from you when your able to.....I did

sign into your channel a week or two ago....or, at least...I think, I did...maybe I did it wrong. Take care.

  • Thats awesome mate. Personally i reckon those mechanical E9s sound a mile better than the scania V8 these days. Might be just me....

  • what a sweat sound

  • @centralplateau Fucking moron.

  • how many gaers the have i,m from holland and drive a DAF 105-410 and i only put the switch at Drive and here it go,s everything is automatic

  • bloddy nice truck and nice exhuast system

  • Mexican truckers better then any American trucker. Aussies and Kiwi's (downunder drivers) in a different league altogether.

  • @centralplateau mexicans dont drive better than americans, they beat the hell out of trucks because they dont know how to drive it rigfht

  • @DoDgErAmSrBeAsT94 aca en mexico no existe el disco le das toda la noche y todo el dia si quieres manejar

  • @DoDgErAmSrBeAsT94 they deff dont drive better than americans but they sure are much cheaper to employ but canadians like myself are the best cause the roads can change in a heartbeat in some places

  • @DoDgErAmSrBeAsT94 mexicans know how to drive idiot i was a trucker i drove a kenworth t-2000 and beliveme that is a a piece of american shit !!

  • @dieselinside69 --wtf?

  • @DoDgErAmSrBeAsT94 mexicans know how to drive idiot i was a trucker i drove a kenworth t-2000 and beliveme that is a a piece of american shit !! a appareant we don´t know how to drive b´cos USA don´t build real trucks for real machos !! jajajaja

  • @DoDgErAmSrBeAsT94 bullshit im sure i can drive better than you even with two sticks and right side driver seat jajaja !! and maybe some don´t drive well but who care´s that shit they made they job !! no ??

  • @DoDgErAmSrBeAsT94 IT IS ALL OVER THE GLOBE, FIRST YOU MUST HAVE SOME PRIDE IN WHAT YOU DO, AND SHOW YOUR PRIDE WHERE EVER YOU LIVE, AND THEN BE PROUD FROM YOUR HERITAGE COMES FROM, IF YOUR EXPERIENCE DOES NOT SHOW ANY PRIDE, IT WILL SHOW YOUR POOR HANDLE OF YOUR EQUIPMENT, SOME PEOPLE IMPROVIZE FOR WHAT THEY HAVE ON HAND, THAT TRICK IS TO MAKE THE BEST OF IT AND WHEN YOU DO IT RIGHT ... SHOW SOME DIGNITY AND RESPECT FOR ALL TRUCK DRIVERS. SOME HAVE A HARD JOB TRUCKING, I just have EZETRUCKING

  • american truckers,the best!

  • either this guy has 3 hands or hes letting go of the wheel to shift up

  • @roadwolf2 This truck has a triple-countershaft Mack 12 speed transmission - everything is on a single stick!

  • @huppypuppy what i meant is he must be letting go of the wheel to shift and hold the camera at the same time

  • que hermoso camion, me encanta

  • i like the interior man.the white gauges and pinstripes on that glossy black dash looks friggen sweet

  • nice sound but is ther no torqe in this engine at low rpm? here in Erope ther is no nede to go ower 1600rpm

  • @MrMulde2 Thats old truck,new truck work 1200 to 1500 rpm..

  • @MrMulde2 You are correct, there is little torque at lower rpms when under the weight this guy pulls.

  • Comment removed

  • does this have twins?

  • Awesome V8

  • how come you guys got rid of the titan?? was best lookin titan i've ever seen!

  • @Signaturegen2 It's still around - look on the Mack Trucks Australia website!

  • @huppypuppy yea i know but doesn't look anywhere near as cool as what it did

  • great sounding truck and good lookin interior. wished we could tint the windows that dark here in the U.S.

  • Sure wish that USA would bring back those mack V-8"s ,they had their own sound and the pull would out do any cat on the market. Your superliner is awesome.

  • there is no better sound than a v8 working

  • @TRACTORBOYZRULE so tru and a real v8 my bro has a mack titan with the 575

  • @gjn71 Like the reply thanks, we tend to get in England a lot of Scania's with V8's which sound nice too,but not as nice as this!!!

  • decent truck,sounds great

  • LOVE THIS TRUCK !!!!

  • that liebherr on the trailer could keep up on her own

  • Glorious sounding truck!

More than makes up for all that time spent with just a view of a dogs arse! ;)

  • this engine is scania v8

  • @R62Longline

The early Mack V8's were developed Scania-Vabis as a joint venture.

  • @chevy82250 Mack is in the early nineties, bought 20,000 Scania V8 engine and adjust his trucks....sorry for bad english

  • @chevy82250

There is no proof of that. I too believed this but Mack introduced their END864 V8 in 1962, Scania introduced their V8 in 1969. The two engines are completely different, Scania has individual cylinder heads and mack has twin cylinder heads (4 total). Much earlier (late 40's/early 50's), Scania worked with Mack on developing the Mack 673 engine which used the Scania direct injection system. The Previous Mack diesel, the 672 used the Lanova indirect injection method.

  • @chevy82250

Also, Mack switched to 16L around 1979 with their ENDT1000. It used a front mounted after cooler but there was an experimental version that used a Tip Turbine cooler and possibly an air-water cooler. Mack was also ready to ditch the V8 in the late 70's because of proposed emissions laws. They developed a prototype that used the heads off of a 14 liter ENDT865/866 V8 and put them on a large displacement strait 6 block that was dubbed the Mack "Big Six" engine. That law never passed.

  • this engine is scania v8

  • @ama60526 So who says he didnt skip some? Just because I have a 18 speed dont mean i run all 18

  • @MnTrucker1984 do u really think you'd skip gears with a load like that dick!

  • @MnTrucker1984 Considering this is Mack's 12 speed triple-countershaft manual 'box!

  • @ama60526 no i was wrong it is a 12 speed

  • Is that your 12 speed gearbox i hear whining?

  • @Hotrodx199 nope sound more like the turbo to me

  • And I thought the exterior was nice, that is one sweet interior

  • That is the SHIT!!! you guys sure know what real gear is and how to present it.

oh and leave the wipers they add that special retro character of older muscle trucks

    love the dash

  • Drive and using the camera, bad and danger.

  • @ELFERNY yeah those straight roads can be a real challenge

  • Just bloody marvellous, sweet sweet music!

  • stunning example of a mack e9 doing what it does best

  • Nice rig. I like the pinstripe on the dashboard. You should give a video tour of your Mack.

  • Comment removed

  • And i think every 4 stroke V8 should run with dual straight pipes. There isn't one truck i know that has mufflers on a V8 like this, they all ran straight pipes.

  • @Hotrodx199 It sounds like an overgrown Ford 7.3 Powerstroke.

  • @tfraud My thoughts EXACTLY. I love the sound of a Straight Piped V8 Diesel!

  • There is not one truck on the road that will beat a V8 mack. I think there was a guy driving some truck that had some hot running cummins climbing a hill empty. Well some guy that had a hot running V8 mack passed him on the hill loaded.

  • me encanta este camion

  • Sounds soooo good!

I just drive a scania with straight pipes here in sweden.

  • Sounds brilliant mate. Worst thing Mack ever did was drop the V8. There's a guy in the north-west with a 610 V8 Titan on triples that never misses a beat.

  • Nice Truck. Can you do a vid with sounds from outside like this?

  • the mack 12spd twin splitter is a ok box the 18 is way better better rev match. fukn love the dash .

  • Now that truck sounds awsome you need to do more videos like that.

  • Love that truck!

  • nice rig love it great vid

  • Absoulty Brilliant must have more, & yes it reminds of the time I use to ride in my Step Dads Mack Road Train. I love that engine sound.

  • thank you tex so miss my days as a mack driver ,drive trains now no fun there. 10000/10000

  • keep the videos coming PLEASE! hope too see the wiper motor upgraded soon :P

  • yeah there crappy air wipers and windows were never the best lol

  • Now that's what.a REAL TRUCK looks like and sounds like a Fine video

  • Love it ! keep them coming !

  • Excellent video!!!

  • man thats a sharp looking superliner love the interior man keep the vids comin

  • Wooohoooo amazing.

  • Great stuff boys, keep em comin'!

  • damn thats a hell of a ride
