I wrote a book called "Beethoven's Immortal" about who the "Immortal Beloved" really is. My take on it is that the reason nobody was ever able to find out about who she was is because she is from the future. It is a time travel story and available at Synergebooks and Amazon Kindle.

Question Did he realy have an affair with his sister-in-law.?,....I like to think he did such a sweet taboo...i have to admit that ,that sweet taboo iam going through....
This music fills me with such a futile yearning, almost a longing for something that can never be... it is exquisitely beautiful, filled with pain and sorrow yet somehow also love and hope.
dreaming of dancing with her in the moonlight. The longing and the passion with the dew on the grass sparkling like stars. If only it wasn't a dream and she were here. If only we could light the evening with our sacred light of love it surely would pale the moonlight. Yet the moon still shines with its pale light.

My name is Yoshiri Uno and I say that Ryu's story is deeper thanFucking Beethoven's storyBitch!!!
.......I created Street Fighter 4 and I say to all of you fagits out their!!!! ONLY COMMENT GOOD THINGS ABOUT MY CHARACTERS BITCH!!!!!!....NOT BEETHOVEN'S!!!!!
Like I said" I could of created Beethoven but I didn't want to!! So this movie is still more of my ideaBitch!!
And this video is dedicated to me and CAPCOM!! GOT THAT!!!
@fadethetrade An actor like Gary Oldman winning some oscar...is like giving Albert Einstein a sticker for excellent achievement in quantum theory.. They really don't require any extra recognition.
LOVE gary oldman sooo much, what i wouldnt give for someone i loved to kiss me that way, or look at me that way; so longingly.the song is beautiful and so is he in the movie:)
The movie got the story spot on.Beethovens "Nephew" was actually his son.He hated the mother because she married his brother instead of him. When the brother died, she hooked up with someone else right away, and this so enraged Beethoven that he took her to court to strip her of custody of their son,who legally was "his nephew"..
MrMcCarthy ; Read a comprehensive biography of Beethoven. There was no DNA testing back then, so paternity is conjecture, but the point IS, his immortal beloved was not his sister-in-law! The movie wasn't bad for what it was, but it did not even try to be historically correct. Look it up!!
No, the story is not true. One of those, "what if it had been this way" movies. The immortal beloved of Beethoven,s was the wife of a patron, she too a patron, and in love w/Beethoven. She was NOT his sister-in-law, whom in reality he despised.
you're wrong my friend--He despised her because she married his brother instead of him---the nephew was in fact HIS SON.when the brother died, she got with another guy right away, and THATS why Beethoven became so enraged. He went after her in court for this very reason--He wanted his son to live with him--They had a long court battle that went on for years, and it only end when the "Nephew" attempted suicide. They did make up at the end,.right before Beethoven died. The movie NAILED IT.
TRIVIA: Greg Cannom, the make-up artist who made up Oldman in the film, also did him in "Bram Stoker's Dracula" for which he won the 1992 Oscar for Best Make-up, which is why Oldman resembles old Dracula here at 5:39.
Wow I did not know that, and I'm a big fan of both movies. I think both movies suffered from the same thing, all the actors (with an exception or two) were dwindled/belittled because Oldman's performance was so good in both roles....to an extent the acting except Oldman's was quite bad.
There is a story behind Moonlight. I didn't know what it was, but I used my own memory and my experience to add emotion to it, and my teacher was shocked that I would do that... for other composers' songs, I can't play with feeling because I don't know the specific mood. But this one is definitely about a broken heart and shattered dream, and of course about love... and torment and finally, death.
I meant to also say that I love how dedicated he is to his characters more than anything else - even the movie goers. I think that dedication shines through and is what makes him so watchable. What does anyone else think?

Gary Oldman is just a sexy man, i love him as Beethoven!
Darkangelrock92 8 months ago
The thing I liked about this movie was they showed Beethoven as a "flawed" man.
He was not put on a pedestal, and rightly so.
This is no "idol worship" film..
It is only his music that is immortal.

Its funny that he played Beethoven right after he did the Norman Stanfield role in Leon/The Professional since Stan loved Beethoven's music... XD

I thought the exact same thing! That's too funny. I loved the "Beethoven scene" from Leon.

Me too! The Stan scenes were all my favorite, he was such an interesting character. A little screwed up, but cool nonetheless.
