But can anyone tell me why after the drone detects the snipper and tells the ground soldiers not to move the man on the ground says "Copy that lets move?" @shitboxPR Don't quote me on this, but as far as I know, you don't NEED to be an officer to be a uav guy. Meaning that you can enlist right after high school and try for uav. Of course if you become an air force officer, you'd probably be in charge of a group of uav's, rather than flying one yourself.

I joined the air force 3 years ago, it has been the best thing i've ever done! people from other branches will always have something negative to say about other branches but they can't really speak on what they don't know! as soon as i got to my unit i made rank, like i said been in for 3 years and made rank 3 times and getting ready to test for Sgt. I would say to anybody out there don't join a branch because of what others tell you, join the branch that you're going to benefit the most from!

Video games gives someone the ability to adapt to new programs, react to HUDs before they are taught, get better eye-hand coordination, communicate with teams during stress, stay up with the latest technology, love what they're doing, etc. I'm a gamer, and I was by far the best in my CADD class because of it. @ptownpresident Also, because drones can carry missles- not to mention that a satilite loses much of its ability to track when it's cloudy or during a dust storm. The drones have shorter range sensors that are much more accurate.
As a 26-year veteran USAF fighter pilot, I must say that we use the most current technology (manned aircraft or Remotely Piloted Vehicles) to win anywhere/anytime. Protecting ALL our Troops in harm's way while taking the fight to the enemy is what we do best. If you apply yourself, you'll succeed in LIFE. The Air Force or other military branches offer a GREAT opportunity to serve and protect the other 97% of the population!
why does everyone see the uav and think of cod its usually rare for the usaf to attach rockets they usually use them for recon. and they so not see through walls unless using thermal which would be ward to do in a war zone where there is fire bulet shells and other stuf that generate heat

I hate this ad and all inaccurately portrayed military ads because the make the air force look like a video game when the army is nothing like a video game. You don't get 3 lives, you don't get to set the difficulty to easy and have the enemy accuracy go down. War is not the answer.
This video kills me. Aside from the sniper team running around in the open, and the infantry moving around anyway, why didn't the UAV pilot just drop one of those hellfires on the sniper? In fact, don't even call the infantry, just whack the sniper. I promise, the infantry won't be too upset if you take him down before he's got a chance to shoot one of their buddies.
Do you people seriously not get this commercial? What the USAF does appears to be science fiction but in reality it's what they do every day. They do have that kind of technology. It's visual hyperbole to play up the sci fi part but it's what the PJ's in fact do. AF technologically is so far into the future it would blow your mind.
The GPS you use? AF invented in the '70's. Who launches more satellites? NASA or USAF? USAF. Who is defending the US against Cyberattacks? USAF.

@ptownpresident Also, because drones can carry missles- not to mention that a satilite loses much of its ability to track when it's cloudy or during a dust storm. The drones have shorter range sensors that are much more accurate.

As a 26-year veteran USAF fighter pilot, I must say that we use the most current technology (manned aircraft or Remotely Piloted Vehicles) to win anywhere/anytime. Protecting ALL our Troops in harm's way while taking the fight to the enemy is what we do best. If you apply yourself, you'll succeed in LIFE. The Air Force or other military branches offer a GREAT opportunity to serve and protect the other 97% of the population!

why does everyone see the uav and think of cod its usually rare for the usaf to attach rockets they usually use them for recon. and they so not see through walls unless using thermal which would be ward to do in a war zone where there is fire bulet shells and other stuf that generate heat

sorry to burst your bubble but im a robot nerd that reads tons of robot articles, blogs (i have my own robot website), etc... even the new mq-9 reaper does not have a colored screen or color cameras and sensors. its really black and white, and they dont graph out the map and look for bad guys autonomously, its remote controlled by a human being! fake!

This video kills me. Aside from the sniper team running around in the open, and the infantry moving around anyway, why didn't the UAV pilot just drop one of those hellfires on the sniper? In fact, don't even call the infantry, just whack the sniper. I promise, the infantry won't be too upset if you take him down before he's got a chance to shoot one of their buddies.

Do you people seriously not get this commercial? What the USAF does appears to be science fiction but in reality it's what they do every day. They do have that kind of technology. It's visual hyperbole to play up the sci fi part but it's what the PJ's in fact do. AF technologically is so far into the future it would blow your mind.
The GPS you use? AF invented in the '70's. Who launches more satellites? NASA or USAF? USAF. Who is defending the US against Cyberattacks? USAF.
