Just discovered an accident i did with my card. apparently i broke the card through the antenna wires that go around the card. the crack goes through all 5 of the copper strands.
it no longer is picked up on any wireless reader at the supermarket (or even my own business) AND it still works in the "You must insert this card" readers. - Break your antennas, not the chips! - i will post a video about this later.
I normally would not comment to such stupidity, but, seeing as ordinary people are suffering every day from these scams, I will educate those who are able to listen.
Any type of conductive metal (when wrapped around your card) will prevent the RFID from transmitting your data. Simple, but true; and effective. I just keep all of my cards in some aluminum foil. They still fit in my wallet. The foil is thin and takes up very little space. Use the card as normal, then return immediately to foil.
To stop the stealing of RFID take a hole punch to the RFID chip in your card. You dont need it. Quit being lazy and pay the old fashion way. Or just swipe your card.
@Radion561 Unfortunatley here in Australia it's a federal offence to destroy the chip, AND a lot of stores (mainly the big supermarkets, Woolworths) if you swipe, it says "Chip MUST be inserted" - and they have disabled the workaround to swipe. (ive had 3 of these fucking cards fail on their own, and have had to deal with Woolworth's shit.)
Sadly some stores in Shepparton Vic are asses about it, Woolies mostly, I've had 3 of these chip cards fail on their own..., when woolies first got the chip readers, it used to be "Insert card" and if it failed to read it, you could swipe it using the stripe, Unfortunately Woolworths in Shepparton are being cunts, and have taken that fallback out, so IF it cant read the chip, it just asks to reinsert over and over. try swiping and you get the error "Chip MUST be inserted"
@1111Davo1 After checking your profile and noticing you are also Australian, then you should know what TodayTonight is like. They take a fact and exaggerate it a little too much. The underlying point is that is is Unsafe, and hackable, the the point where Mythbusters were gagged for their tests. (Note the responce link)

@Kendocon123
Well, that's only one of the Two Woolies that we have here in Shepparton that's done it, but I expect the other one to follow soon enough.

Put your card in the microwave for 5 seconds and destroy the part of the card they scan. It will still work but without the fast pass
