  • your making way to many moves just getting the cross. that first edge you put in could of been done in 2 turns. R B. plus do the cross on the bottom. helps a lot!

  • this was horrible i didnt learn u jus confused me more

  • watch a shortfilm on the Rubik's Cube killer called INSOLUBLE...to watch, click on my name Normenarule and see in my favourites...

  • Thank you very much for providing such an easy solution! I'm just wondering, though, how quickly should I expect to get to? I've solved the cube without looking at a cheat sheet about 10 times. I've been using the methods from your Solution #1 to solve the first 2 layers (without the empty pieces), then Solution #2 to do the rest. Also, is there a way to do the cube blindfolded without having to learn another method? Thanks!

  • Hi. Around a 1 minute average is very realistic with this method.

I don't think doing it blindfolded with this method is really possible. That being said I know next to nothing about blindfold cubing, so you might want to ask somebody who knows about that subject.

  • thanx man =D

  • Ok, so I solved it (woo hoo!) thank you! I did record it because I figured I'd mess it up again, but it actually worked. I can't figure out where the video went, though, so oh well. Just want to say thanks for the clear instructions, my kids are totaly impressed. :)

  • Well, I'm 31 and decided it's finally time to learn to solve this cube. (I got it for daughter.) I can now get to Step 6, but every time, I hose up the cube. It's good practice on the other steps because I have to start all over... Any suggestions?

  • You have to fix the corners in pairs, one clockwise and one counter-clockwise. Don't worry if the cube looks messed up after you finish solving one corner.

  • (Wow, fast reply, thanks!) I know, I printed out your notes and have watched the video about 4 times. I find the two corners to fix and after doing both moves the whole cube is messed up. (There are 4 white pieces out of allignment, scattered around.) Maybe my husband can help me video when I get to to this step again...

  • thats the method i use except i can do it in under a minute flat

  • yeah right

  • your video is great... easy to understand and a great way to teach... been trying out and got around 5 mins average

  • ok im confused but i got 1 thing to say I STILL CANT FIGURE MINE OUT!

  • u sound like a nerd and i wish u could do it for meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • I gave up :D

  • wat method is this it semms complacated i use the fredic method and it is the best dan brown teaches it the best check his vid it worked for me and after a day i can solve the cube in 2 30 av

  • after i do my bottom layers i cant get

the fish, the dot, the line or the cross what am i doing wrong (i do the algs right so thats not it)

  • u are doing it to fast u idiot slow it down i can t do

it that fast it hurts my brain

  • you're telling us what goes where but HOW do you do it?

  • Check my other videos!

  • do u speed solve because yur method is good for speed solving. ive been trying different methods and yur is simple yet fast. and i got yur down to 30 secs on avg.

  • Really? That is much better than I've done with this method on average. If you're fast enough to do 3 moves a second then a 30 second average is doable. The world-class speed solvers are doing it in more like 15 seconds using around 50-move solutions. I think a lot more memorization is required though. Still, 30 seconds is really impressive.

  • Hey can you make a tutorial on the 2x2? Or can you give me a website that has the solution?

  • I watch your video and got the firts part but I am stuck in the middle part some of my middle pieces are in the right row but need to swich sides such as green orange are on the red side and green yellow are on the orange side and i need it at the bottom could you tell me how to do that. Thanks

  • You will need to move those pieces out first, so it will take an extra move. Move another piece that you don't need into the location of the piece you want to solve, and after doing that move you will be able to work with it.

  • Thanks for the videos! After about a day of practice I'm reliably under 5 minutes.

  • I like this video a lot. I like how you don't go to fast but not to slow. It really helps. Thanks.

  • my brain hurts i tried this so many times you confuse me

  • I was never really good at math or puzzles. I have a mini keychain rubik's cube, maybe I should finally learn this thing. (I'm 20). Are there other meathods? This thing is genius.

  • I think this is one of the easier solutions but everyone has a different learning style and other people will have other opinions. If you search Google or elsewhere on YouTube you'll find tons of different solutions.

  • How does it slide so easily?

  • I took the cube apart and lubricated it with silicone spray (avaiable at hardware stores for a few bucks).

  • oh ok thanks

  • you solve it on a different and much harder way then i do:P.

  • can you teach the Friedrich method?

  • Sorry, I don't know it. I'm working on the Petrus method but my times are not very good yet (67 seconds is my best so far).

  • Great ... i learned one method... would like to learn this one too...

  • a bit confusing

  • excellent job... anyone that give this video negative comments is an idiot and shouldn't have bothered watching it.

  • does this need iq?

  • Good question. Not really. It requires a little bit of effort to learn the moves, but ultimately it's just a matter of following a recipe. It's definitely accessible to motivated grade school kids.

  • You're awesome. Thanks for taking the time to put all this together.

  • wow, get a life

  • i bet he got a much better life than u

  • what method are you using?

  • It's a classic "layers" method. I don't think there's an official name.

  • You're awesome man. Thanks. After studying these vids, reading the docs, taking notes and practicing quite a bit, I just now for the first time picked up and solved a cube with no assistance. Took me about 5 minutes. You're awesome. Thanks a ton!

  • lol all your videos are on how to solve a rubix cube get hte playstation 3 to do it for you :D

  • I wish I would understand it just hearing, but I've to think 'cause the english :-/

    Gracias anyway ;)

  • You did an amazing job with the site and videos. It took me a while because trying to learn from the site on my phone wasn't easy. the videos helped alot though. My best time is 4:38. Thanks for all of the help. Keep up the good work!

  • Thanks for the comments. Nice to hear people are watching/reading on their phones. I never expected that!

  • Your series of videos and website are very well done and thoroughly explained. The only thing that isn't explained well for the newbie I was just 24 hours ago (I have now solved the cube 5 times) is the very first step. I was making the cross incorrectly the first few times until I realized that I needed the sides of the cross to match up with the center square colors. Other than that between the videos and your site I was able to learn how to solve the cube in just a day! Nice work.

  • im still comfused

  • Ugh, I hate you.

  • That's amazing!

  • its just to hard for me. just one day though

  • Very well explained!!!

  • Thanks! I didn't have a script so I'm glad it was understandable.
