  • @ina96reth I agree with you

  • You see Americans? English people are not ugly with rotten teeth!

  • This show is an absolutely treat. It's very well acted and there's simply none in it who's not good looking. 5 stars!!

  • They're all so GORGEOUS. :D

  • Charles Brandon is my favourite character.

  • "Sexy bloke" :)

  • Duke of Suffolk: More like Duke of Sexy ;)

  • Love the tudors but the sex scenes are just a bit too much.

  • @ustgagchvirus I get what you mean. During the first two seasons, I just skipped them altogether. But Season 3 is definitely more mild.

  • JRM looks more like Henry V, a greater King than Henry VIII.

  • @EnglishHuscarl uggh there are soo many interesting monarchs to make movies about but it seems everybody is stuck on Henry VIII....I mean, I love that era as much as everyone..but there are so many other fascinating stories that haven't even been touched :(

  • its good the tudors but so inaccurate for example it was mary who married brandon not margaret

  • @Toonlad14 Thats what I was just thinking lol

  • @Toonlad14 they probably didnt want to get her confused with henrys daughter, mary.

  • Henry Cavill(Duke of Suffolk) is so hooooooooooooot..!!!

    :DDD

  • FAGGOTS!

  • wow...henry VIII was a brat!

  • ....Henry the 8th, he is!!! xD

  • what is the song towards the end of this video?????/ i REALLY really really WANT it!!!

  • what is gabriele anwar doing in the tudors> anwar is an arabic name?

  • thank you for the information.

  • 'you have to be young to fall in love the way he falls in love'

Henry was 34 when he met anne and she was about 25 (they think) Now i'm not saying thats old but with all the will in the world you cant call them teenagers. Especially as the average life expectancy was 45 - 50 (I know some people did live longer) not knocking the show just questioning JRMs reasoning.

  • from wich country is the name tamzyn ? i have never heard of such a name i do not not want to offend anyone.

  • @MyLalinea if its a version of Tamsin then is English, a short version of Thomasina (the female from of Thomas) but where that spelling comes from i have no idea could be a celtic version maybe or is a completely diffrent name and not Tamsin at all.

  • this is a canadian irish production..

  • you know the guy who plays Henry? Where exactly is he from? Because he's deffinitley got an accent to his voice...

  • @JessicaLouiseMusic It's Jonathan Rhys-Meyers, he's Irish.

  • @lovingdrake ...which is kind of offensive to ME, seeing as I am American and am nowhere near that shallow. I don't make petty generalizations, and I know you were only trying to offer that jackass a taste of their own medicine, but it really doesn't make you look that much better. (No offense or anything, I'm just saying :] )

  • @hhfarwellii lmao how narrow minded are you really.. well thats all you can really expect from americans!

  • The male cast of this show is so sexy! Henry Cavill and JRM... wow.

  • In what episode is 5.20?

  • Jonathan Meyers = God he is damin hottt

if king henry was really hot like jonathan i would love to have time machine and go back in time to be with him and when he decide to kill me use it again and disapear =l

  • @hhfarwellii why r u soo rude !!' english ppl r not what u sed so shut up!!! God where u been

  • Long Life the King!

  • Gotta love Natalie :)

  • Also, I find it kind of irritating how everyone argues about history as if they were there to see it. People, honestly. We only know about the facts of any information that is related to the politics. No one knows if Anne was a whore of if Henry never loved Catherine. We only know that he annulled two of his wives and beheaded two. One died and one outlived him. We don't know the truth behind anything.

  • I agree that Jonathan Rhys Meyers is tons better looking than Henry was. However, in history, it has been said that Henry VIII was actually quite handsome as a young prince. It could be that the definition of handsome has changed in the past 500 years. Nevertheless, many historical accounts describe young Henry to be good looking. And the show probably needed a Henry that fits the 21st century impression of "handsome."

  • yup...too bad the REAL henry the 8th was a cellulite ridden, ugly, pastyfaced, self indulgent asshole....and his children (including elizabeth I) if you can believe it, were even uglier than he was......of course they represented the english people well.....but this show was a great piece of fiction.....lol

  • @mnewimwlk

No, actually Henry VIII was handsome, athletic, and smart. However as the years passed he started losing it. Learn some history.

  • @Heartze i didnt say he wasnt athletic or smart (which is a matter of opinion)...but he was ugly as fuck even as a young man...stop thinking television shows equals fact....stupid cunt

  • @mnewimwlk

I don't think tv equals fact, I know from history books. How about opening a book?

  • @Heartze....opened plenty of books in several years of university...i'm guessing you're not a very bright 20 year old cunt...you ever heard the expression "a picture is worth a 1000 words"?......little bitch, if you think henry the 8th was actually attractive as a young man, i pity your future prospects of husband hunting...goddamn you're thick

  • @Heartze, by the way cunt...do you really think its authentic to portray an english king by using an irish nigger to do so....oh the shame of it alll!...lol

  • @mnewimwlk what do you mean by " they represented the english people well" ????

  • @hhfarwellii Thats like really rude to English people. I'm English?

  • @Eloise672 awwww too bad...lol

  • @hhfarwellii where are you from then?

  • @Eloise67 i think what he meant was that most of the english are ugly, pastyfaced, self indulgent assholes.....lol "too bad the REAL henry the 8th was a cellulite ridden, ugly, pastyfaced, self indulgent asshole....and his children (including elizabeth I) if you can believe it, were even uglier than he was......of course they represented the english people well.....but this show was a great piece of fiction" perfect description lol

  • @hhfarwellii what a load of bull shit im english and nothing how you describe.

  • lol...@hhfarwellii ..."the english are ugly, pastyfaced, self indulgent assholes"...describes them perfectly....lol

  • Thumbs up if you are reading my message.

  • @earthchick18

Catherine of aragon's first husband bragged quote on quote

    "I have been to Spain!'

    OO

    ----

  • Henry Cavill just made me drool on my keyboard

  • @earthchick18 spoken like a true Anglican loyalist... well, it's too bad the Catholic church has been picking up your bishops faster than you can say Jack Robinson....

  • The guy who plays Brandon, Henry Cavill, is so hot!

  • what the heck did Henry see in Anne anyways?

  • @555paint The same thing you'll see in your sweetheart when you fall in love, and vice versa. Love is blind, when you fall, that person is the best thing that ever walked the face of the earth.

  • @lizziemiss945 yeah i guess. the more typical explainations are--she was more sophisticated than other ladies at court havig spent a lot of time at the French court etc; and that she was a determined reformer and opponent of Rome.. and advocate of the total supermacy of royal authority...

  • Catherine of Aragon was the one and only true Queen at that time, the rest were whores, mistresses, or adulteresses

  • @CE750 Surely once Catherine of Aragon died, any of the women he married were also true queens, so there's no reason whatsoever to refer to Jane Seymour or Anne of Cleves as any of those things, and while Catherine Parr remarried after Henrys' death there's no reason to believe she was unfaithful to him during their marriage.

  • Have to buy whole season in BLURAY, keep forgetting .Superb cast gorgeous women.

  • "Anne had no lovers?" Were you THERE?!? We don't KNOW that, and I really don't think that she was a "maid/virgin" when she got w/Henry, and history HAS supported that fact.

  • the tooders?

  • this series is perfect!!

  • lollipopfop i agree 100% :)

  • what was the season/episode was - 3:55? :}

  • @princess101855 fat lot you know! As a natter of fact ties w Spain were crucial at that time period for thenephew of the Spanish queen was Charles v of the hapsburgs someone who controlled much of eaten Europe and who was further climbing the ranks w very close ties to the church divorce Catherine is to anger the church Which is to anger a powerful ruler which equals war where is this insignificant?????

  • what episode was it when henry got knocked off his horse from jousting?

  • Jonathan Rhys Davis is a good actor in an essentially inaccurate costume drama that took liberties with Henry's actual appearance, sequential events and costuming. All of the queens, Anne Boleyn in particular, are pictured wearing things that in reality were never seen in Henry's century.. The role of Henry VIII belonged to Keith Mitchell, an Australian Shakespearan actor, who starred in two BBC productions of his life. Keith Mitchell actually looked like Henry VIII.

  • Awesome show. I miss it so much. Please bring it back. heck make it a tv show!!

  • henry cavill>>>TOTAL BABE!

  • @cutenkrazyk16 that guy is heaven, lol.

  • @cutenkrazyk16 He's going to be Superman now.

  • @mireille876 I heard!!! so excited!!!!!!

  • this is gay.

  • "He really can't keep his dick in his pants" :D Gotta love the Duke of Suffolk

  • Henry Cavill is also very sexy <3

  • @lollipopfop i think hal percy was engaged to someone else already. and anne was accused by other maids in honor who were jealous of her.

  • good

  • What is the Music in the Backround? I love it and the series, too.

  • What is this?!

...Exactly what it looks like, Your Grace.

  • The woman who played Margaret was perfect for the part. This show was amazing :)

  • Honestly, all of them were blood-thirsty. It was the nature of the age. It was a time of "If you don't agree with me, off with your head". I don't think we should apply our social conventions to society of 500 yrs ago. Royalty were believed to be of divine birth. AB was a smart woman who wanted to be queen & was prepared to do whatever she had to get it. Was Mary was "terrible"? Maybe, but take a hard look at what Henry did-"sold" his sisters & Elizabeth I was a cavalier w/ life as her father.

  • Lol, Wow! People really? NOONE really knows what REALY happened.... Chill Out!

  • Christy Bella Joiner, like Jonathan Rhys Meyers, is incredibly Gorgeous & Sexy, which appeals to any audience, awesome cast members. Beneath the dazzling Christy Bella Joiner's femme fatale attration, She portrays the skills to coax men into watching her films. This unexpected Professional Breakthrough will re-invent Christy Bella into not just another beautiful face on the silver screen, but someone pivotal to success. She's star of the new film, THE HOUSE, after appearing onThe Tudors.

  • Who played mary?

  • Anne was betroved to someone named Butler, Ormonde something... cannot for the life of me remember. Anne was a whore. She slept with the King before they were 'married' while he still had a wife! (In the show) she slept with the King in a forest!. After seeing that scene you cannot tell me that Anne was not a whore. Considering her treatment of KOA and Mary, I dislike her. For me, whether or not she is whore doesn't really matter.

  • @PrincessMaryJaneKOA Anne was a pawn of her family. When she was queen she had some power and there is no doubt she held sway with the king in a way mistresses hadnt before but she was pushed before the king by the power hungry Howards, just like her sister before her. The Other Boleyn Girl (novel, not film) shows this very well

  • anne boylen in real life was pregnant with henry the VIII's child before he was divorced from catherine of aragon

  • omassex

  • charles brandon is hot

  • oohhh anne bolyen haters hush up!!

  • Anne Boleyn was never the king's mistress. You are correct in the fact that Anne was never engaged to Percy; she was engaged to the heir of Ormonde, James Butler. That betrothal was put to a halt and then Henry stopped Percy from having any chance with Anne. There was a rumor, started by Chapuys, that Anne had agreed to marry Percy which would make it a pre-contract. Percy was married by the supposed time the pre-contract was made and Anne was already engaged to the king.

  • yeah 3 things you should know

    1. Catherine was forced to marry henry because when her husband died (henry's brother) they needed to keep the ties with Spain.

    2. Mary was a pretty good queen she was just very Catholic and killed anyone who was protestant.

    3. Henry had to get a dispensation to marry Catherine so yes there was a marriage and he had to get a dispensation to divorce her so obviously a marriage.

:) just thought you should know

  • @lyook23 Mary was NOT a good queen. "She just killed anyone who was protestant?" Just? REALLY? She murdured hundreds of her own people! That's not a "just!" Not to mention the fact that she completely depleted the royal treasury, destroyed any semblence of a navy that her father created, and basically sold off England to Philip of Spain. History remembers her as Bloody Mary for a reason.

  • @lyook23 Catherine was never forced to marry Henry. It was the opposite! Henry's father almost opposed the marriage until he was almost dead! Ties with Spain wasn't very important at the time when Catherine was a widow. Also, Catherine was a widow for 7 years.

  • Love this great series. I hated all the sex scenes unfortunately. I didn't think it was necessary to see Henry bonking everything with a skirt. I was more interested in his intellect and leadership skills. OHHH and his beauty!!!!!!

  • os invito a ver mis videos en you tube...eduardo correa diario de un indomable

  • love this show, never miss a show

  • if henry cavill isn't gay he should be. Did you see the ass on him in the first segment, never seen a man with an ass like that, made for man love.

  • The Tooders.

  • I do think the director made a wonderful job of presenting a period piece like the Tudors. As I said, I didnt enjoy all the sex scenes. Still, the beautiful gowns, surroundings were all fit for a King. What a pity Jonathon isn't a real king. He is certainly eye candy for the bored, hopeless, unattractive rabble who wish they were one of his entourage. I loved the series (minus all the sex scenes).

  • Jonathon Rhys Meyers does an excellent job of being a king. When you watch him on screen, you wonder what would be your fate if you happened to bump into that kind of character. Kings are notoriously vain and selfish. If they happen to be drop dead gorgeous, their reign could quite possibly be a long one. I hated all the sex scenes unfortunately. I didn't think it was necessary to see Henry bonking everything with a skirt. I was more interested in his intellect and leadership skills.

  • oops forget the first part that was in another post talking about Sarah (plays princess Mary) playing a part with her sister in another movie so ignore that part.

  • Is this show good? And is it all about King Henry and his life, or is there depictions of other classes as well

  • My favorite actress in the tutors series was Natalie- she played the perfect Anne :) I loved seasons 1 and 2 cuz of her!

  • 3:34

    roflcopter. <3

  • 1:07-1:11, ahh, my favorite actor! and, I love Natalie! I love this show; I'm on season 3 now. I liked watching this video, too.

  • do you know if there is a new series comin out? and when it is? x

  • jonathan is sooooooooooooooo fuckin HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!!!! im drooling all over my laptop!!! perfect role!!

  • Natalie Dormer is so well-cast as Anne! I only wish I could watch this...

  • i love the background music they use in this segment...i wish i could find it somewhere :(

  • They didn't interview Sam Neil in this segment :(

  • @barbiedoll811 Yeah they combined both sisters into one. Margaret was queen of Scotland and Mary was the one who married Brandon.

  • I know the girl right in the beginning of the clip. She was in Casanova with Heath Ledger.Funny character^^ But honestly, when I'm looking at those comments here I feel really ... dumb in history. Though, I'm not from UK so I don't have to know bout the English history like you guys do, but in comparison with my knowledge of German history,... But know what when I try to be real life on history with my mind then I'm quite interested again. But not in history lesson.Gosh I'm soundin like a dumb b-

  • to do it

  • The Tudors: Royal Cast of Characters

  • gooooooooooooooooooooooooooog

  • did you know that her last child may not have been deformed like most people think. Because ive been reading up and i found that chapuys said nothing of it and he is reliable in everything else. About half of our known sources say yes it was deformed but lots of high ranking courtiers at the centre of it refuse that it was deformed but just miscarried.

  • story writters tend to add more drama into their books/movies to get more ratings and buyers/viewers. They accused Anne of sleeping with her brother thats why they 'assume' the baby was deformed.

  • @lucyluuuxxxx yeah absolutely possible but she could have been rhesus negative

  • haha love the bit where gabrielle anwar says she read up lots on her character well she didn't discover her real name in her "reading". mary not margaret darling

i think natalie dormer understands her character although im not sure whether it was a growing affection or ambition that was driving her to the throne.

  • It's all speculation as far as who slept with who but the series is good as far as showing what those times were like instead of demonising Henry VIII. Heck, put in perspective, Vlad could even be portrayed as a hottie.

  • Mary did sleep with Henry and had two children by him, one of which was a boy. The other incorrect fact in this series is that Henry recognized his bastard son and made him a prince. None of his bastard children were ever acknowledged in anyway. Supposedly Anne slept with George her brother, a child was conceived and when born was "not right" and died soon after birth

  • According to two books I read, Henry did recognise his son by Elizabeth Blount, and made him Duke of Norfolk.

The boy died in adolescence, however, as was common in those days.

  • I thought he acknowledged his bastard son, Richmond, though bastard children could never become heirs. If you google Richmond's image, you'll see he looks very like Henry too - more so than Henry's legitimate son Edward. However both Edward and Richmond died young.

  • It's not the Toodurs, it's the Choodurs

  • Charles braddon didnt marry Magerat tudor it was Mary tudor (queen of france), henry viii sister. what a pathetic way to change the plot, why couldnt Hirst keep up with the original historical fact, am sure it would not have cost him thousands

  • So you must know a lot of royals then, deagla?

  • i don't believe anne was a whore. i think henry loved katherine, anne and jane, but once he stopped loving them and found someone he liked more he got rid of them (of course, not in the case of jane, but still). it was henry who saw to it that he and katherine were through, not anne, and he was horrible to katherine. henry was easily tempted.

    also, natalie dormer is gorgeous.

  • hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii

  • I haven't seen this series but i plan to, but i read some about it specially about Catalina, Henry's 1st wife. I wonder how accurate is this..does this story gave justice to the real one or at least close to it.

  • Henry requested to be and was buried next to his third wife- Jane. She was the only wife who died before he stopped loving her....and he gave her his son.

  • Out of all of Henry's wives I think that Henry only truly loved 2. The first 2 Katherine and Anne. These are the 2 women he did worst by. Katherine I believe was a good woman and Henry respected her as the mother of his child and as a loyal companion and friend. But it was Anne who he was in love with. For a man to do what he did and wait so damn long just so he could truly call her his. You have to be truly in love with that person. Especially since he was king and could have anyone.

  • Based on the famous portraits I've seen of him, Larry the Cable Guy makes a more accurate looking King Henry VIII than Jonathan Rhys Meyers.

  • that was henry old. this is henry young.

personally, i'd choose henry young... :D

  • well this is a TV show not a history channel...anyway the concept of good look changes the court used to be filled with "plump" women they are the desirable ones not the "anerecsik" type we see so often in the show

  • What is anerecsik? Ooooh do you mean ANOREXIC ?

    Also, you're quite wrong.

  • henery the 8th was such an ass bucket...but god damn does jonathan make him SO SEXY! *shudder*

  • Although I enjoyed the series I am well aware of the lack of authenticity in this series. For starters Henry was a red head, Catherine of Aragon was blonde and the costumes suck big time.

  • Can anyone tell me the truth about Anne Boleyn? Was she a virgin when she married Henry VIII? and did she really sleep with her brother? Everybody says different things :(

  • that is because nobody truly knows what she did or didn't do

  • She definitely DIDN'T sleep with her brother or commit adultry, Henry just needed an excuse to get rid of her because she wasn't giving him a son. As for her being a virgin when she married him or not... I don't think anyone really knows.

  • well when she officially married Henry she was pregnant.

When she slept with him for the first time who knows

    and sleeping with her brother...

    I highly doubt it

they were just trying to get rid of her

    xx

  • Before Henry, Anne was married, divorced had at least 2 affairs. She withheld sex with Henry in order to seduce him to making her his wife and queen. Not just one of his mistresses. Henry may or not have known. Her brother: it is widely believed that this was just one of the many "trumped up' charges to rid the court of Anne. Unable to bring Henry a son and her "past" of angering many in the court still loyal to Queen Catherine: the rightful and still only Catholic queen of England.

  • I dont think anne was married, she had alot of lovers, but was never married

  • Anne had no lovers, and one husband, the king. Anne refused to sleep with Henry while he was married. She never once comited adultery with anybody. She was engaged to Percy but he married someone else. Possibly by Henrys design. Or maybe not. No one knows.

  • @lollipopfop Sorry, but your History is scewed. Anne secretly married Percy & when discovered her father made Percy go back to his bethroth & pretend the marriage & consumation to Anne never occurred. Since Henry's divorce from the Queen was not lawful in the eyes of God, therefore Henry was still married to the Queen & Anne to Percy. Therefore adultry was committed on both Anne & Henry's parts.

  • Comment removed

  • @San47di Actually lollipopfop is correct. Anne was engaged to Percy but there was no consumation of that relationship. Even several people including Cardinal Wolsey,an enemy to the Boleyns, said that she was a virgin when she married King Henry VIII.

  • @moonprincess4195 There was NO WAY Anne was engaged to Percy because engagements were only authorized via the Fathers of the girls. No such arrangement had been made for Anne, hence the commission he made for her to become the King's mistress. Further proof of this is the fact that Percy's wife petitioned King Henry to grant her a divorce after discovering Anne & Percy's secret marriage & the consummation of it!

  • Comment removed

  • @lollipopfop Sorry, but you're in error. Since No divorce ever took place Anne & Percy were ALWAYS STILL MARRIED to one another! "Pretending" the marriage never took place does Not dissolve the marriage! Read the actual "History." Henry had no "legal" grounds for divorce from Catherine & therefore Henry & Anne were indeed adulterers because their marriage was not lawful in the eyes of the Church nor God. Whatever Catherine loved or did not love, Henry was her lawful husband, PERIOD!

  • @San47di There would have had to be a marriage between Percy and Anne for a divorce to even occur. As you said yourself, read actual HISTORY. Most of what people heard about Anne were rumors spread by the Catholics and supporters of Mary and Catherine. Chapuys spread most of them and he never even met Anne.

  • @lollipopfop anne was pregnant with elizabeth one before he was offically divorced from catherine of aragon

  • Anne was NOT married, nor had she been divorced. Please don't change history.

  • she did get divored they now more than yuw highland haert oh and we learnt it in history class
