This is absolutely fantastic on so many levels! Wastelands is probably my favourite piece of gaming music of all time. But what I especially like about this is it isn't just a replayed version of the original or a boring "remix = annoying techno version" thing like so many that saturate the net. Very nice, thanks for this! But it sounds more like a beginning previous to a mission, than a lament after it, like all the preparation beforehand. It has some elements of a lament or remembrance, but the beat goes beyond it. This has so much set-up thought and action to it. On the other hand, this song could fit as a memory, if put in at the right part. Either at the beginning, end, or during, it still is awesome.

@mymorningjackets : no precise project atm, but I used to play in a "classic guitars team" a few years ago -- mostly latino-american music, but not only. Imho, your arrangement would perfectly fit such a "band", hence my curiosity. Of course, If i manage to get it performed, I'll shoot a video as a follow-up.
