Nice work maoshan, He's doing well for a beginner in internal arts. As you know you can't really teach someone to fight internally in 3 months but you can build them internally while helping their sparing. I humbly recommend standing posture training even over other muscle conditioning as it sinks your power allowing less arm swinging when blocking/neutralizing an attack as well as more power to strike since it tricks the body holding good structure at all times even when standing.
@SecretSword Thank you, and ofcourse you can't teach Internal fighting in such a short time. Standing and walking has been his core. The issue has been traditional vs modern. In this case I've leanded more on traditional and some modern for the event.. Hardcore Basics with just a few basic techniques and tactics for the compitition. In truth, this is no way to learn the internal in my opinion, but this is sports so...
In a perfect world, as a beginner, for this type of thing,
He is going for too many body blows leaving his head unprotected on the First part. 2nd part . Your right, way to stiff, cause muscle fatigue and muscle tension. I had to learn to not be on the offensive all the time by being force into corner and my hip being pummeled on. I also love the grappling boxing gloves better I like blocking punches open palm. Sit ups and medicine ball drop/thrown on abs. Should practice slap fighting to build up speed reflexes. Also give Electromix a try electrolytes
@mrbunnylamakins It's all good, I did the best I could with what I had to work with. I proud of him no matter the outcome. He put in a lot of good hard work.

@Maoshan He should train the standing and walkng etc... for 3-6 months then technique, sparing and tactics.
But again, this is sports, true internal basics take at lest 2yrs, then you start sparing. That's old school!
