It's not like I said BDM sucks, or that they sound like Suicide Silence. I just said that this album is more "deathcore" sounding than Unhallowed or Nocturnal were.

Do yourself a favor: realize that genres can be separated into waves. The first wave of deathcore can be seen in bands like Glass Casket and Dying Fetus. The second wave, which you clearly hate, is where bands like Whitechapel or Oceano came into play.

well black dahlia murder has always had some core in them, but not nearly as much as some other bands. i do agree with you though, this is by far their best album, and most death metal-ish one. you can especially hear the death metal influence in certain select songs, such as this one, and apex (the main riff of that one is INCREDIBLY inspired by at the gates. you can tell). i do agree that they are getting a little more "core" with each album. if they could go back to this, i would love it :)

For all the The Black Dahlia Murder fans that see this video, I am very sad to say that John K has left The Black Dahlia Murder. I just found out about it and it's shocking and such terrible news, he unexpectedly just quit during the tour and refuses to finish it so their going on as a 4 piece to finish the tour. It's greatly dissapointing that such a great guitarist left but at least they have the will to continue the tour.
