@Jaytecktonik808 John had an extremely painful childhood, his mother was mentally ill, and at five years old his parents made him choose who he wanted to be with - consequently he ended up with his Aunt Mimi, who was a wonderful parent, friend and mother to John until the day he died. Johns mother Julia was hit by a car and died when John was a young man, just as he was getting to know her. I think he always held on to the pain from the abandonment of both of his parents.

She was hit by a car while crossing the street. It was driven by an off-duty police officer. He was pretty well tortured by this event for his whole life...

i have the same experience as john. my mother focused on my brother until she died when i was 8 and a half. my father married with two women after that, and i was abused by both of them. my father never saved me even in such situations. the only thing that i can do now is to love my daughter with all the love that is left in me.

Mother and Love are my favorites. you will find Love on You tube somewhere as well. I really believe that Mother and Love might be my all time favorites with all the Lennon albums and CD's I have. I have always really dug those two songs.

I still have this original album. It's the ones with the trees in the front album cover and Yoko and John sitting at the base of the tree. It was the only album where on the inside sleeve where they have all the words typed to the words of all the songs; John wrote on the top of that "For Yoko with love from John, 9/10/70" in his own handwriting. Also, Phil Spector and Billy Preston helped out with this album. Yep, this is still in my old album collection to this day!!!
