The infected really ARE zombies, this is why. The infection kills the host, then it re-animates the tissue no more than a few hours later. Somehow the infection keeps the decomposing prosses at check and keeps there muscles from getting all stiff. The Boomer is the only acception; which explains his bloated figure due to the natural gasses and puss and crap building up inside of him. And the Left 4 Dead guide (which was approved by Valve) says so itself.

go to select charater and selcet the character *infected* see if it works for you.

Thanks that waas a noobish question that I asked. I always pressed on (game progress) I never played on lobby. So I always was lucky enough to just play when the game was going to end Xd. That sucked. Now I know.

You only got 'owned' a few times due to a bad choice or two on when to attack.

The way I've found most effective to play infected is to have the boomer start each set of attacks, and use the smoker/hunters to take down 3 of 4. If someone didn't get hit with vomit, they're the first priority to get.

Doesn't always work like that of course, and you should take a pot shot or two when you can get it.

The basic strategy I usually use during versus is when you're a hunter or smoker you want to attack those away from the group so you can take more damage.
