I think it's important to remember that when the 2D web was new it was ugly, too. A bit of time and practice with the program will go a long way to making this service shine.
Whoa! Hold off on the abuse guys! This was meant to be a first look from a new users perspective -- not meant to be a tutorial.
My early impressions are that unless a web site were built and programmed with this browser in mind, it wouldn't be of much use.
And KoalaBearWarrior -- 150 MB is a large file size for many people, especially the educators in my network. You're the one who doesn't seem very computer savvy in assuming the world is on broadband...
This has got to be the WORST demo I have ever watched. Has this woman ever even used the regular internet? My god, I would laugh if it wasn't so depressing! Great idea but everything about this video, interface, demo, descriptions is crap!
This is ridiculously ungainly. Why would I want to use an avatar to walk past a row of floating lines of text instead of just reading them? More interactive web surfing is certainly going to be part of the future but this is awful
making the most of exitreality will require using the tutorials on how to drag and drop objects and themes. Additionally using the search engine to explore other peoples worlds as well as find objects that can customize your home page adds amazing creative flair.
Virtual worlds are really reflective of the community that is using it. Hence the application can reach far and wide across the whole internet. I like the program but some understanding of how it works will show how great it can be
