Sorry to reignite this argument, but as a long-time anime watcher, I really don't have much respect for english dubbing. The studios that do it use these noname voice actors of questionable experience and a limited vocal range. Japanese voice actors are well-trained, well-paid, and enjoy notoriety on the level of actual movie stars, and it's because they take it seriously, as opposed to acting school dropouts who shout every line like their microphone is broken.

tbh i always preferred subs over dubs, i know translating is tough between english and japanese, but damn they really butcher the dubs, either that or they never get the right voices, Fooly Cooly is the only one that has a good dub, either way subs ftw ^_^! Btw i like subs cuz ur learning a new language at the same time!

Actually there are alot more subtitled anime out there than dubbed ones, especially with all of the great fansubbing teams.

lol this comment is funny because most anime start with japanese language the get subbed for the american audience.

then if the subbed version does well enough then it will get dubbed (sometimes by another company) at a later time (which is the reason the english voice acting on so many sucks).

now then there are some that do start with english audio also but that tends to be the newer ones

Cut them a break guys, some people have trouble comprehending how to read so dubs naturally work better for them. Funimation should be wary of the unschooled and provide both Sub's and Dub's for all the episodes.

I like this and I prefer English dub only because I like to here English language so I don't get a headache keeping up with the sub titles. I do agree English dubs are not that great but a lot of us prefer the dub.
