  • "The ancient tradition that the world will be consumed in fire at the end of six thousand years. Is true. As I have heard from hell... That all creation will be consumed and appear infinite, and holy were it now feels finite and corrupt. This will come to pass by an improvement of sensual enjoyment. If the doors of perception are cleansed? Everything will appear to man as it is: INFINITE..." Original version was written by William Blake. However this is how Johhny Depp recited it.

  • Amazing film with an amazing soundtrack.

  • 9 peoples live in Machine

  • Relistening to this after watching Dead Man I'm thinking: Why the hell didn't this soundtrack get stuck in my head after watching the movie? Was I really that tired?

  • @Mr1995filmnerd Relax. Same to me (And I normally have an ear for soundtracks)l. But finally I discovered this treasure. Better late than never, right?

  • @Somethingsmissing94 just stfu, no doubt bout the song, amazing

  • Do you have any tobacco?

  • As an aspiring filmmaker, once in awhile, there comes a time when watching Dead Man makes you realise, if this was a film made by the major studios, you cant have Gary Farmer, Iggy Pop, Johnny Depp, Robert Mitchum, Gabriel Byrne, Alfred Molina, Lance Henriksen, John Hurt, Jared Harris and Billy Bob Thornton in a film scored by NEIL YOUNG and directed by JIM JARMUSCH!!

    FUCK THE STUDIO SYSTEM!!!

  • I was born on Nov 12 too .. :-)))

  • Watched this movie once more last night, and may watch it again tonight

  • This song and the film are mystical.

  • Jede Nacht und jeden Morgen sind zum Elend viel geboren. Jeden Morgen und jede Nacht manchem süße Wonne lacht.

Manchem süße Sonne lacht. Anderem winkt die ewige Nacht.

  • you can call it blasphemy, but this song'd have been great in Call of Juarez. I'm no guru but those western songs in CoJ are amazing just like this one.

  • Love it!!

  • This is the real stuff. Music as it is meant to be.,

  • That guitar seems to be screaming from Hell...

  • @simandr I agree, it's a sound that only Neil Young and his Old Black can approach!

  • I remember when this movie first came out and I heard the intro soundtrack and i was like "Goddamn this score is amazing." and then when I saw the opening credits and it sad Neil was doing it I said "Oh well fuck, no wonder it sounds so amazing."

  • @evanisgay11 only as NEIL can do....awesome

  • I love how that dirty, earthy guitar sound goes right through your soul!

  • awesome ..... what a legend!!!!!!!

  • Great Song

  • Fuckin perfect

  • the main theme (not the lead giutar) is very simmilar to Working Class Hero of John Lennon

  • where did you get this song, aksalone?

  • @ryonownbey I found it in a torrent file with Neil Young rarities. The Dead Man promo single has three tracks: the theme song without and with Johnny Depp's voice over as well as this longer version. Like many others, I also felt somewhat let down by the soundtrack album.

  • @aksalone i thought you ripped it off the credit section during the movie xD

  • @aksalone could you link us to that torrent?

  • @rixeaun Unfortunately I can not find it anymore. It was a 5-disc bootleg set called "Rarities", where disc 5 contained material recorded in the late 1990's including the Dead Man promo single. If you google it you can still find it, although I couldn't find working download links when I just tried.

  • @rixeaun if you look for a complete neil young discography you will find it.

  • @rixeaun Hi friend. Did you find it? I was searching and found several forums with the post aksalone said, but all the links were dead, so I tried in Soulseek (a p2p softwere) and of course I found it there (the three versions). Good luck!

  • @aksalone - Yes this is it, great movie and soundtrack. The album is a let down, I had read reviews before I bought it but I wanted to use myown judgement. This makes up for it.

  • @ryonownbey I have the entire soundtrack to the film, including this song, it is in mp3, but the quality is excellent, you need it?

  • @MsCastorPollux would love to get a copy of this one... if you are so inclined...

  • @zgman no problem, send me e-mail address or a way to send you file.

  • The soundtrack was great but it could have used this song and it could have done without the car sounds as cars had not yet been invented during the period.

  • I bought the soundtrack for this song and then I found out that this song was not on the soundtrack.

  • @ryonownbey Me too. However, the soudtrack is amazing, too.

  • i guess 2 people dont know death?....and suck

  • Великолепнейшая вещь! Пробирает насквозь!

  • One of the best songs of Neil

  • just beautifulllllllllllllllll

  • stupid fucking white man.

  • Люди явятся на свет,

  • @wdchefdave56 the director said that they didnt even move the music around that the recordings matched the scenes

  • @TheVeryLegendary You change the whole meaning of the quote. It's not indefinite, it's infinite - much different, don't ya think so?
