The Ø stands for zero, as in zero jobs, zero hope and zero change.

The aim of the healthcare bill is to require people to buy health insurance (just like you're required to buy auto insurance) and to provide a public option so people who don't qualify for a private company's insurance. I don't see anyone complaining about the postal service. This is the same system for a different service.

That was my point about Harry Reid saying that although they were disappointed that they could not get a single-payer system. Once you are dropped into the one of the exchanges you may never get out. As more and more employers drop coverage, the goal of a single payer system will be achieved.
The Ø stands for zero, as in zero jobs, zero hope and zero change.

I don't doubt that there is a faction of people who'd like to see an exclusively single-payer system, but the bill is in place to provide a public OPTION. Allowing you CHOOSE between a government plan (which, in all honesty, would probably be mediocre at best) and a private plan. If you don't WANT one, don't get one.
