And yeah, about Hercules's girlfriends in High School, there was also Medusa in the episode "The gorgon" and Anaxarete in "The jilt trip". Neither of them was seen in more than one episode each either though.

Andromeda was a shy new girl at school, who was Hercules's love interest in the episode "The big lie". She wasn't seen in more than one episode though, and in the real mythology, Andromeda was Hercules's great grandmother!

its a "midquel" that takes place JUST in the middle of Phils song in the movie....sqeeze all 65 eps inbetween the scenes where Hercgoes from teen to hunk and you got the whole Herc epic!!!!

e.e I wish Taraterm2 would stop trying to convince everyone this series is canon in ANYWAY, when it clearly isn't.

These kinds of shows plagued the 90's. Take an existing product, develop a story for it, don't worry about any preexisting media and get animating.

That was the status quo for a lot of writers back in the day and while they did provide a lot of original and funny ideas to get out there, they always ended up failures in the end. :(

right on!!!...how can you not adore a Greek myth show where the sirens high five each other when they get a ship to sink, Hades throws tea parties for the Fates with Real lady fingers and Prometheus yells at his eagle for eating his liver with onions??? and yet the poor show flopped....no one got the jokes.

He's based on the legendary Icarus, the one that flew too close to the sun. The show writers wanted Herc to have more of a "buddy" to hang with{Phil is more like his mentor/coach} so they gave him Icarus, and French Stewart supplied his wonky personality...and a lot of the oneliners. He's supposed to be nutty cayse hes brain fried from the sun thing....if you want to know lots more just check out the site.. the
