Give me a break. Just because you have a box with a meter that deflects near a power line doesn't mean those lines are hazardous to health. Studies keep looking for health effects and the vast majority find none. Occasionally one seems to find a connection that disappears once proper scientific controls are applied.

The meter seems to be a Gigahertz ME 3951 A which is a fairly expensive field meter for TCO conformity measurements (have a look at your PC monitor, I bet there's a sticker on it with a TCO conformity declaration). The unit he means is nT (Nanotesla). Unfortunately, that doesn't prevent people from buying it, using it inappropriately and misinterpreting the reading.
