Not true actually. It WAS Harry Enfield, but as the series was originally written for him to star in, it was more a case of him deciding there was no future for the sitcom, and not signing on for series 2.

He *was* crap though.

Harry Enfield left because he felt the series would do better with a proper actor in it.

The show was originally on ITV but they had supported it mainly due to Harrys involvment, so they cancelled it.

In a very rare occurrence, the BBC bought the show and made it the success it is.
