OMG it's that easy?! yesterday I didn't know how to fight them so i killed about 15 big ones, and a lots of small ones, I playd for about 30 mins and after I killed 'em the games bugged I think, the red ''doors'' didn't let me through :(

LOL, how would I guess: right after posting my last comment I managed to beat this. Just used the Blade of Arthemis at the little ones, leaving the big one alone, and them there were no more of them, so I could manage to defeat the big one :D

I second the medusa on the big one and posiedons rage on the little ones. I tried everything then read this and bam, im done. Took me maybe 45 secs. Freeze the big one, shatter it, electrocute the little ones. Gates open and im moving on!

This part of the game sucked. I've never been so pissed at a video game. I almost threw the controller at my tv screen so many times. Like I cocked my arm back and then thought "holy shit stop!" to myself. Just a bunch of cussing and calling the game and its developers garbage for like an hour straight. Not cool

I couldn't do this fight on normal, had to move down to easy mode after being offered that choice. Never tried the tactic of going after the little ones first though, and never though of using grab on them.

I was always tring to string combos together with the blades but everytme a little one junps at you the combo is broken and you take damage.

How come it looks so easy here? In this vid, the puppies take a little longer to transform. Everytime I try this part (on God Mode), they automatically transform right when they respawn (literally, there was only a 1-second delay)! I ended up having 5 cerberus beasts after me along with like 8 of those little puppies. Then each of the larger ones kept vomiting out more, so there was like an infinite number of those damn things! I still can't beat it, but I'll try using this tactic Y_Y

it took me a looong time. but i found that jumping was better than rolling from dodging them. also easiest way is grab the one sword by pressing L1 and L2 and press L3 and R3 as soon as the battle begins rush the cerberus and forget about the baby ones and you will kill the thing in less than a minute.

Lol he isn't playing on god mode and the dogs turn into bigger dogs. I tried this for like 3 hours straight and i am on god mode. im about to switch to easy mode because this is stupid.

Basically when i did this the first time I made the mistake of letting like 3 or 4 of them come up because i was killing the big one first... Yeh once the 2nd big Cerberus came up I knew I was boned when the 3d came up i just tried to live and then the 4th i was just like Ef it Restart at checkpoint XD The first was and still is an amazing game I liked it more than the 2nd

Had to revert to easy after trying this about 30 times and getting screwed by multiple dogs even following the video. Eventually the smaller dogs do stop and Medusas gaze helped me. Thats up there with most annoying bosses of all time I reckon

i've just tried this and it worked. for those who say the dogs get bigger, thats right, but it depends on how fast you are killing the little ones, if u try fast enough, they wont get bigger!!!.

This tactic does not work. Within 30 seconds of starting the dogs get bigger, make more dogs, ad infinitum.

For me it's hardest part of the game in God Mode. IMHO One of good tactics is to freeze Cerberus Breeders with Meduza' s Head.

The hardest difficulty in GoW1 is God mode. In GoW2 the hardest difficulty is Titan Mode and it is unlocked by beating the game on any of the other difficulties. It is the best and now I only play on TM

i was surprised that medusa's gaze wasn't used on the big dog in the end, but i guess from an overall speedrun standpoint it's better to conserve the magic bar.

On normal mode in my game the pups never end and the big ones attack ferociously. I can't destroy a pup before another one shows up and grows large. What the fuck?

If you're not doing a NUR, just go with rage of the gods ;) You'll get rid of the puppies easily and then just juggle the big one with artemis or Plume of Prometheus ;)

That's how I have done it and it works very well. If you are upgrading though level 3 Poseidon's Rage a couple times works well too.

lol, i made this fight unreasonably easy by stoning the Cerebus breeder immediately and then blocking the cyclopses from entering the arena with the block and hitting away

LOL Version 1 in this video. "Homerun" sadly doesn't have the power to knock anything over the walls in this arena. "Spike" works well for knocking enemies over normal cliffs (without invisible walls) and "Punt" works best at knocking them up and away concerning such walls. "Homerun" is the one that lead to the other two.

~Perhaps next time you encounter a Cerberus Breeder, (rather soon from now actually) you can try "Spike" and "Homerun" near the water and/or use the infinite air grapple for lulz.

After this part you fight 2 Desert Kings, 2 groups of Cursed Archers, the revolving room with spiked traps (only matters if you want EXP chests), some Legionairre Captains, a climbing scene, a battle with Hammer Minotaurs (where I found "Homerun"), pushing the Steel Cage w/ sacrifice up the hill (more Captains), then swimming to A LOT of Cerberus Seeds..

THEN you deal with 2 Cerberus Breeders and a few harpies.
