And you can also remote control the phone too, delete specific directories or files, lock the phone completely so no buttons or the touch screen work etc ...
I'd say because the GPS chipset is not constantly active it doesn't impact on the battery as much ... Perhaps I'm misunderstanding how yours works tho.
Having the GPS chip running all the time must be a huge drain on your battery?
I have a touch HD and a registered copy of Ultimate Theft Alerter - This only activates the GPS chipset once an unrecognized sim is inserted or a specific command txt is sent to the phone (all command texts are intercepted and no alert is given to the target phone)
Once an unrecognized sim is inserted the new phone number, all incoming texts and phone call numbers are forwarded to your specified alert numbers.
I checked out the software you mentioned, looks pretty good. I see a couple of similar programs on the sites mentioned, Phonetracker and a couple of others, not so easy to use the interface though.
The 3d tracking software is not normally running, GPS a huge drain, correct. However it assumes that a thief will at some point restart the phone with/without a new sim card, and using the above instructions will start with 3dtrack and the GPS and upload automatically
