It only worked because it was a soap . the real monica-chandler marriage (courtney cox - david arquette) proved that you can't make work a marriage where the wife has to be the mommy of her husband .
@georgetapadbol I disagree. Chandler changed quite a bit after 10 seasons and at the end he was so much more mature, but still funny yet a little less goofy. Many times Chandler was the more mature one and put his foot down and said no to Monica. I've always loved Chandler because he was so funny, but I fell "in love" with the character in seasons 9 and mostly 10.
