i squeeze it the exact same way! from the bottom.  and then i use a binder clip to keep it from unravelling

ALWAYA from the end, but I don't roll it. I flatten it and work that bad boy until I've used up all the tooth paste that's inside the tube.

the way it should be done: from the middle at an angle to provide a parking place for the toothbrush, then when nearly empty, your way. (and the answer to the obvious next question is "over, end outward, same as paper towels." men who do toherwise have been reprogrammed from the natural order by women. LOL!)
