I think you are wrong on the fact that US helped Cro kick the Serbs out. We hired US (MPRI), a private military contractor, providing Croatian military officers with training just as the serbs and the bosnian muslim had their. Besides that, we did not get any aid or assistance from the US. We did get pleanty of embargo threats from the US, the UN, and the European Community. Also Croatia had its amrs embargo suspended after the war.

You are absolutely correct. That embargo affected only Croatia while Serbia who controlled all of Yugoslavia had control of all the weapons. The US and Britain favored Serbian controlled communist Yugoslavia which they created in 1945 and is the reason they did not respond to Serbian invasion of Croatia. They were among the last to recognize her.
