Of course they also have more honor students and of course their top 25% is smarter than ours. That's like comparing 1000 really smart kids, with 1000 kids of all types of intelligence.... Just having a time format for schools (semesters or quarters) means that you can't prepare someone with skills that they need today. Any RESPONSIBLE educational facility would offer an entire set of self paced learning (Keller method, PSI) for all subjects. None do. sad

gostaria de fazer um comentario um pouco paralelo...interesante como neste video e em outro semelhante, eles citam tanto a Inida e china, proximas potencias(?) paises emergentes, nao so pela economia, vejo que se destacam pelo desenvolvimento da tecnologia e educação. interessante como um pais tao pobre e "sujo" dominado pela crença religiosa, como a India, tem um dos maiores indices de graduados, doutorados, a tecnologia mesmo veio para todos. Interesting video. The facts are a bit jarring, provided they ARE facts. (I like to see footnotes for data like this. If a "fact" comes from, say, an Oxford professor, I will be more likely to accept it; if it comes from the Washington Times or Fox News, I will doubt it.) The music, though I like it ok, is a bit distracting: it's hard for me (not a genius) to read the words AND hear Bono sing "It's a beautiful day." At any rate, I think the US is in decline b/c of corporate greed, period.

it has to do with the total number of people who speak the English language there. think that if around half of them can speak English then they will have roughly 600,000,000 English speaking people.

What would give you any idea that this video says that people are slaves to technology. We have created something that will aid us in medical research and in our daily lives.
