  • OMG why is she so turned out?!?!? So lucky.. you'd be good for ballet:D

  • really good ,, your really good at going on your toes :)

  • Very good! Try and straighten your legs more. But magnificent!

  • You're good! Check out my Hornpipe?

  • the hornpipe i leraned is way different.

  • the hornpipe i leraned is way different

  • Are u from O'hare?? I use to go to O'Hare but recently transfered and those were my steps for like.. 3 years lol

  • Wow! You're doing a great job! And on carpet!

  • I HATE HARDSHOE. I'm really good at it... but I HATE IT!! and honestly, tj is much harder than hornpipe... i love it that im in u14 now and we have reel/hornpipe instead of treblejig/slipjig!!!

  • I think you need a faster camera! :D

  • @Angie2343: Hear, hear! When we got onto the Slip Jig and all that I was like, "Hmm, can we just change the steps a little and do this in our hard shoes?" lol

  • Oi! I hated the horn pipe! Too many small steps! lol Give me a treble jig anyday!

  • couldn't agree more...! |D

  • @velvetsnape I wish ALL the dances are in hard shoe!

  • What kind of shoes do you have?

  • u click well, keep dancin :)

  • cross a bit.and point harder, wonderful toe stands ;)

  • Fantastic job! Try to turn out your feet (front and back) a little more and point your toes!

  • Very nice. I liked that. I'm an adult beginner at the Niall O'Leary school of Irish Dance in New York City. I am due to start hard shoe soon. I am a wreck. LOL

  • good job,, try to make your steps more sharper

  • Your toe walks and butterflys are great!!!!! Keep up the good work!

  • was that carpet slippery? cause it looked like you messed up your trebles

  • 2 Things to say :

Nice job and Poor Ipod ^^

    BYe bye

  • I dance a similiar Hornpipe

started a wee but off time

  • That was great!!!

  • You need to finish your trebles. It seemed to me that in the video you were tapping instead of trebling. You also need to cross more to get rid of the gap in between your knees. Other than that it was good.

  • he is on carpet so there isnt good sound, he isnt "not finishing his trebles"

  • It doesnt really matter if he was on carpet or not...in some places you can see that the trebble is really shuffled. But it is really good.

  • tht was rly good

  • that is a girl,KatrAnna....

  • that was awesome dude!!

  • turn out those feet!

  • Wow, guys don't usually do toe work...

  • hey peple i might be starting hard shoe and i know nothing about it if anyone nows could you plz tell me. thanx:)

  • tell you what?

  • hard shoe is all about practicing. I have done it for 1 year and at the begine a fell behind cause i thought it was easy like shoft shoe now i practice 2 times a week for 30 min. 1 day soft shoe the next hard shoe. Every group has different dances! I know the treble jig, hornpipe and mrs. brown.

    GOOD LUCK

  • omg everytime i try to click my heels i end up falling over! so props to you!

  • ha, i cant click my heels!! your good!

  • i could never click all my clicks like that. Good job.

  • Do you dance w/ O'Hare...because I had steps very similar to those like 3 years ago and I go to O'Hare....just wondering haha

  • great dancing! i loved it!

  • Hi, you've danced so well! What's the name of this Irish tune that you danced to?

  • It's from the album Rhythm Roots by Mike Shaffer. It's the Open hornpipe. My first Irish Dance CD and good music - easy to find the beat. Boy do I wish it was that easy at a feis! My teachers hate the CD - only because when they 1st started the school it was their ONLY CD and they got SICK of it. It's still the fist I'd recommend to someone learning though!

  • hi wat level are you is it like intermitiate or open? im only primary dun dancing over a year how long u danced for?

  • i just learned the basics to that but ill be learning something similar to that!

    but good job

  • Good Job!!!!

  • hardshoes for irish dancing

  • duh:-p I mean what brand!

  • usually findley thats where i get mine from

  • I think mine are... good question. I really dont know off the top of my head. I know they are not "Findley" or whatever the other comment said.

  • wow i hope your Ipos was ok after that!

  • No but is at ur house or something like r u dancing it at school or what?

  • r u dancing that in a reception or something?

  • I have no idea where you got reception from! I was practicing for an upcoming competition; tape it so I can see what I need to improve on.

  • what are u? open champion or prelim

  • Prelims

  • You might want to work on your breathing because i can hear you breath when you dance but otherwise it was very good.

  • I was in classes when I was young, but the classes shut down before I got to the hard shoes, I only learnedf up to easy reels and slip jigs. That was years ago, but you brought me back. :)

  • your hornpipe hasn't enough beats in it you could do with more rallies and less of them walking clicks

  • this is good .. keep it up

what cd is this? i wanna get it .. this is a pretty hornpipe !

  • I love Irish dance and I especially love the hornpipe dances, but I have to say that you're quite aa bit better than me, I just started learnin the hornpipe a few yrs ago =) Good job!

  • Your very good, is Hornpipe the name of the hard tap shoe when you dance, I always wondered!!?? So what wouldt the black flats be called?!! You dance very well, like the music, but for some reason it reminds me lost at sea..pirates or something LOL don't know why haha, very nice though :) Five Stars *****

  • ok, hardshoe there's tons of dances. the main ones are hornpipe, treble jig, and treble reel. then there's set dances which there is too many too list. then there is of course performance dances. each school has different steps. black flats are called soft shoes, or gillies. =)

  • Oh ok, thank you :) Gillies, lol sounds so cute for a name of a soft shoe! I wanna pair of hard shoes so badly O.o though I don't know how to tap lol but I want to learn!!

  • well to tap you need tap shoes, there really different.

but if you wanna learn irish dance you should, it's fun! then you can get hardshoes =)

  • TURN OUT TURN OUT TURN OUT

and also point your toes on your clicks or slices or whatever your school calls them.

just trying to help, not being mean in the slightest. i'm in pc too, SO CLOSE to moving out! keep on getting damn seconds...anyways good job.

  • Very nice. the only thing id say is watch your turnout and there were a couple times when your knees went out. but overall very good =]

  • you have realllyyyy strong calves just like me! but sometimes people think they are fat. im like no poke it its pureee muscle! hahaha.

    i love dancing.

    good job! keep it up!

  • cool. i irsh dance too! check out my video. its not so good though. because i had just learned the step!!

  • for the back hits/clicks/slices wichever u call them i would get a little more off the ground... it gives a more floaty/graceful affect.

  • i never could make a good click sound :]]

  • great job, love the ipod falling out of the pocket it was funny... great job though it looked awesome..

  • nice timing, watchi out for turn out and your trebles are a little confined, brush them out more for more sound

  • really good sound! what level are you? also i would suggest to watch your turnout on that back foot but overall very good!

  • I am PC and placed 4th overall at the Feis I was practicing for... thanks for the advice!
