What i have read about it you dont need any backlight the "pixels" or what to call it lights themself up somehow

they're essentially tiny LEDs, and light themselves. OLEDs use less power than LCD displays too, which is a bonus.

New tech is always quite expensive. Just think about how much DVD burners were when they first came out - now you can pick one up for thirty bucks.
