The game looks a tad bit too slow, the fatigue system 8 hours of normal exp every two week is irky, pay to play doesn't hit me well to begin with, copy pasta map scheme isn't encouraging, repeat town environment seems a bit of a cop-out, there are better MMORPGs comming out...

But nevertheless. I'll give that this commercial is entertaining, and will probably suck people in who don't know better. Kind of like WoW.

@Testsubject909 Fatigue system is goofy, but EXP isn't important in FFXIV at all. Rank points are, since they're what actually levels up the class. There are no copypaste map environments at all and there are absolutely zero repeat towns. In fact, each of the three starting locations is incredibly different and unique.

What's up physical levels which give you points to distribute into your stats along with points for elemental section to increase resistances, and damage from the elemental spells how you doin? Exp is important in 14.

@Testsubject909 Your post is very misinformed and uneducated. The fatigue system, while it is as you describe, is hardly noticeable at all. You earn your EXP from Guildleves more than grinding. Pay to play is what keeps the game running with maintenance and updates. None of the areas are copy and pasted. Each of the towns are unique and varied and every area has amazing layouts. The game caters to both hardcore and casual gamers. Comparing to WoW is woefully ignorant.

There's points outside of Limsa Lominsa where there IS some terrain that is re-used quite a few times. This is coming from someone that's been playing open beta since they opened it up.

Fatigue system is 8 hours a week, and it's not noticeable at all. While you're right there are parts that the terrain is pasted, and it's like k SE you could have done better. The town environments are drastically different. Gridania is a forest, Limsa Lominsa is a harbor on the edges of highlands and Ul'Dah is a castle town surrounded by desert.

@Lpg544 You obviously don't know why the series is called "Final Fantasy" so I'll enlighten you. Square was going bankrupt in 1987 so they gave it a "final" try with this game. If it would have failed, it would have been their "Final Fantasy". But the game was a success so it became a series. The franchise sold 97 million units total and holds 7 guiness records. I don't call that "casual". In case you think I made it up, look it up on Wiki. It's all there.

@Lynuma Comparing this game to FFXI FFXIV is a very VERY casual game. I already knew the history behind it all and I play all of the series, they just took a whole different route with XIV compared to XI.
