Fox are much less trouble than little breed dog, barking and bitting people all the time... They act much more like young middle sized dog, less possessive and paranoid. Easily trained to be very nice and can using litter box too.
She's a beautiful animal, but I noticed how she appeared to repeatedly try to bite the man, and showed her teeth menacingly. It would take a few generations to domesticate these animals, but it has been done. I don't know why they are not kept as pets like dogs are. Maybe because of the biting! I also heard that they will always kill chickens due their strong instincts.
this is kinda s stupid one--the fox obviously doesn't want to be there, or be by humans, the guy should take it to a sanctuary, regardless of possibly enjoying being in that home, it's still a wild animal, and obviously doesn't like him.
@ripter187 if we killed all the animals, we would either be dead, or we'd all be forced to convert to Veganism. o_o and I like to drink my chocolate milk, so no one would EVER want to take THAT away from me :P but seriously, that's rude.
This animal in cowering and showing deep signs of stress. This well meaning but ignorant person should do the right thing and put it back in the wild (if possible) or to a wildlife sanctuary.
Foxes are very shy by nature. They are easily tamed and can live with humans without problems, but they're naturally afraid of just about anything. So of course it is stressed since some random jerk with a camera follows her all the time ). They do not like unknown people.
@21Drake Foxes are easily tamed, but they are not a domesticated family of animal. Did anybody see how that fox was about to bite at 0:34?! I'd be scared to keep such a timebomb in my house. This is almost like the news where some guy kept a lion cub in his house, which ripped him apart when it grew up.
@Meeperify Lion ? )) Incomparable animals, really. Foxes, especially those living in close proximity to cities - are nothing more than, let's say, a very special breed of dogs. The fox in this video is nervous cuz it doesn't know what camera is. A new object "aimed" at it certainly looks sinister )). Furthermore, I get an impression that the fox isn't filmed by it's owner, no, rather by a professional - a person completely unknown to it. Still it looks lively and not too much depressed to me.
@Meeperify foxes ARE timebombs though :D They like to DIG. I mean like trying to dig through solid floor. They can be kept in domestic surrounding, but yes, they are still wild animals, with many destructive habits :) And they can bite, yes, but how are they different to dogs in that ? Even the most loyal and loving dog can bite you on a bad day. As any human can ). Well, morally at least.
Well I'm against keeping animals as pets, but this fox would probably be dead if not for this dude. Folks in England love to shot foxes for sport, not to mention the fur trade.
@gladitsnotme Actually, the British are some of the most animal-friendly people in the world, especially in the cities. It's a small number of country farmers that still loathe foxes and conduct illegal hunts. I even know of one shelter in Surrey that has its own dedicated fox ambulance!
Her instincts are so keen it must be somewhat painfully overwhelming to not be in her natural habitat, where she could escape for whatever soothing or exciting things are necessary to a fox.. I expect that may be why her pupils are so very large, and she bites to retain her individuality. Foxes are not cats, and they are not dogs. I love them too, but I would only destroy what I love if I made it be what it was never meant to be.

This video was sooo sad to view! Bless her heart....you need to give her to a zoo where she can live in HER OWN HABITAT! not yours! good grief Charlie Brown! Seriously, you should consider placing her in her own environment....be SELFLESS.....not SELFISH!
@irishjoesbar - its not like shes going to see a real forest or trees the way things are now... she lives in a freakin apartment! She would be better off in a zoo than in the apartment because then she would in an in enclosed area that was more like her natural habitat than a freakin living room.
Hey,you must be used to a smelly fucked up living space with shit and piss all over. We see these shows on TV where the film crew comes into a home where someone is raising an animal or multiple animals that are not tamed or house broken and it is just pathetic.
@irishjoesbar - Really? If she were in a zoo she WOULD have the opportunity to be outside every day! How do you honestly think that a living room is better for her? And if you think that having people stare at her is bad... right now shes in a video. On youtube. How is that better? At least in the zoo she would have the opportunity to be around other foxes in an environment more like what they SHOULD be in, instead of being around cats in an apartment. Chill with the "fuck off you sicko" shit
You want here to live in a small enclosure with people staring at her everyday (Incase you didnt know, alot of animals dislike it when people constantly stare and scream at them.....Like you would)
In her apartment she gets lots of love and attention and shes let outside daily.
If it was up to you she would never see outside her prison cell
@irishjoesbar - IMO she looks half terrified and very unhappy in this video. Judging by 0:35 shes not too happy with the "love and attention" she gets. Believe it or not there are a LOT of zookeepers that are very loving and deeply care about animals. I think she would be much better off in a zoo, which would be more like her natural habitat, and under the care of the zookeepers than in that guys living room.
@irishjoesbar - Ever think she dosnt run away when shes in the garden because the yard may be fenced in?
