  • My question is where sarg got the gas mask at the end..

  • i was just about to say, this is like a more intense version of a doctor who episode. nicely done tho.

  • this is video was copied from doctor who. but it is still good

  • wow..

  • I like it, but I don't get it.

    Empty Children type thing?

  • @MafiaSk8r97399 Yep :)

  • @TempestFX Also say hey to Matteh for me.

  • 6 people just hating just to hate

  • That was good, kept me on my seat looking for more. Suspenseful.

  • What pack do you use for all the blood/dirt/vfx and is it just an after effects pack?

    Good job with the vid.

  • @willywilton Action Essentials 2 :)

  • The color correction is the most thing I Ioved, so super!

can you tell us about your technics, and your setting while shooting ?

  • Great job!! How did you give it that dark, creepy, suspenseful look? Please reply. Thanks.

    P.S. I subscribed.

  • @gamerman562 A low aperture and a desaturated colour grade :)

  • This was actually good. You caught the suspense you wanted in the film it seems you wanted, since the title even said "Short Suspense Film" and... Well, it was really good. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

  • Very nice sound do you guys have here.

  • Seriously guys, I think it's against the law to be as awesome as you are!

  • @LoneSoldierFilms u know when the new stock pack is gonna be released?.... just wondering :)

  • Awesome Nathan & Lachlan Flavell O.o .... I am Hunk Techk (Facebook) kiss from Mexico

  • great video :D!!!!

  • Nice video! Just a bit of constructive critisim : I couldn't really understand the dialogue and some of the gunshot sounds echoed when they shouldn't have. I really enjoy it though!! :D

  • They only know to aim for the head when its their own head lol

  • nice! what do you use for color correcting?

  • I liked it! Just the audio... I could hear everything else but the dialogue.

  • I got that gas mask:)

  • this freaked the living shit out of me lol very well done

  • wow if you guys got a huge budget it would be unreal how good it would be

  • @MrBLTfilms It would be insane ;)

We're hoping to get sponsored in a while and have a subscriber giveaway (A canon camera!)

  • Nice video. Really well done.

  • nice really enjoyed it

  • watching this with headphones was awesome, great works usual guys

  • Need to work on the visual effects a bit more except for the awesome color correction also the audio sound amazing soundtrack and sound effects :)

  • True story, the audio was actually really good (Magic Lantern), it was just numbed down by YouTube. Thank you all for your comments and criticism!

  • @LoneSoldierFilms ok the audio balancing was not numbed down by youtube, you need to stop having you're music louder then the camera's audio as it make dialogue almost impossible to hear. The intro is a perfect example for this, and it being an intro we need to hear their dialogue for the place setting

  • @bakthejun No, actually, it was. Using the .wmv format has it's upsides AND its downsides. Upside: It is a smaller size upon output.

Downside: The compression tends to mess around with the audio side of things.

How about you upload a video and show us how it's done, huh?

  • @TempestFX im in between making side projects as I'm currently starting work on my I.P for the HSC, I'm just giving you a helpful audio tip as my skills when it comes to film reside on sound design/editing. I know this was a suspense film and all meaning it has a heavier reliance on underscored music and SFX. You guys did too a good job on the Gun Sounds on this video, but imo i would of made the last SFX where he shoots himself a bit louder so it has a more drama response.

  • @bakthejun Seeing as you are such a nice guy and all ("Have you become more cautious of how bad your editing skills are?").

  • @TempestFX

My point with the intro was "The more better the visuals are in the film the more you notice bad sound"

You should try mpeg format and mess around with the bit-rate until you find something that is both visual appealing and something upload manageable since i know australia has one of the more slower speeds compared to the U.S.

Also I'm seeing you guys dressed up as shadow ops I'm guessing you've learnt from your previous mistakes and alerted some of the area?

  • @bakthejun Hahah yeah, we've become overly cautious, even though this was filmed at his house we were worried.

Thanks for your tips, man. The next film (which we are working on as i speak) will probably be in a H.264 output.

  • Disliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiikes :(

  • Haha, i also had a movie called "Shell"

  • nice, Doctor who inspired i'm guessing. great camera work particularly for improv. could do with turning up volume of their speech, otherwise really good.

  • Safety first guys.. That means, keep your helmet strap on, long sleeved shirt, gas masks, laces tucked into boots, boots properly bloused, finger off trigger until you're ready to fire, etc.. Still, was enjoyable.

  • Absolutely amazing, it looked like you shot this on a DSLR, im getting the T2i or T3i? Glad I subscribed to you the other day, look forward to seeing even more great uploads now, keep up the good work dude

    - Red Spectrum Pictures

  • I want that gear... o3o

  • what camera and lens was this filmed with?

  • @ilovethesimpsons8 Canon EOS 550D w/ 50mm lens. It's an awesome lens but you do get a fair bit of 'sway' in the video shots.

  • @LoneSoldierFilms wow it looks really professional!

  • @LoneSoldierFilms i'm getting that camera for christams :D but with the twin lenses kit so i also get the 55 to 250 mm lenses as well as the 18 to 50 mm lenses :D

  • Nice!!

  • @EVONINJA01 Yeh I know mate, but I just got the helmet that day and had to put the head gear on quick

  • how do you get indoor footage without it being grainy? I use a canon t2i are there any camera settings or something?

  • Were you using an onboard mic for this because the sound was god awful, otherwise it was fairly good. More storyline would have been appreciated though

  • Pretty good!

  • Lachlan looking like a badass ! :)

  • Very well done, especially the scary atmosphere !

    Greetings from germany ! ;)
